That they are. There are both R-rated and X-rated versions of the movies available. I found out about them a couple of years ago when some University of Maryland students tried to show one of them on campus, and created a hugh uproar with the authorities, which turned into a big fight about censorship issues.

I have the R-rated versions, but have not gotten around to watching them. In reading the reviews of the movies, I liked a comment regarding the ladies in the movies that said there is a reason they're called porn stars and not actresses. As a result, I expect there to be unintentional comedic elements in the movies.
