  • Was I overreacting?

Happened about an hour ago, on this well-known online game

Background: I read about these new changes coming in the next xpac (cross-server zones), which gets me all excited, as I have friends on other servers that I know I'd want to play with). However, this leads to a VERY burning question, which I will summarize below

Basically, I wanted to know, since this involved possibly playing with my friend on their realms, if said realms would be enabled for this feature. However, the response I got from a game rep treated me as if I had just submitted a suggestion, rather than ask a question (which is what I actually was doing. So, in the survey, I marked most everything high, with the exception of the parts relating to the game rep I had dealt with (I gave low marks for this part). Was I justified in doing this, or was I over-reacting at all?

Think they probably misunderstood your question, you get them once in a while, lord knows I've gotten plenty and had to rewrite/reword a ticket to plainer and plainer terms when trying to get an item back after a roll glitched.

Though if this helps, I think they're doing it like this pvp servers cross-realms with pvp severs, rp-pve servers cross with other rp-pve servers, but they haven't put out an official list as to who will be crossing with who or if it will be multiple ones (our rp community is up in arms out of fear that we're going to get all these horrible 'infamous rp server well known for prostitution stings by the GMs' people. MMO-Champion I think has a write up on it.
Okay everyone, lets all point and laugh at him right about....

    Now.

Yeah, RP-PVP will be linked to RP-PVP, RP-PVE linked to RP-PVE, PVE linked to PVE, PVP linked to PVP. From what I understand, all will be linked together, BUT! Only in certain zones. They've confirmed starting zones (first couple from how it sounds), but outright said cities will not be cross-servered.

If you were asking about servers of different types, that might be why he was classing it as a suggestion. Or he simply misread the ticket.

You were being honest. they did good except that the rep wasn't really listening to you.

although i guess since he treated it like a suggestion ... might mean it's not available yet.

Yeah, playing on an rp server myself (go go Earthen Ring ), our rp community isn't exactly thrilled by the idea of being grouped in with them either. We'll never be able to rp in Goldshire again.

                Firstly, allo from Feathermoon =D
And agreed, some of those people are just... weird. I mean there's always a level of weirdness wherever you go, but it was a 'we're going to go above and beyond the level of general weirdness' I'm curious to see what sort of random encounters to rp this will promote, but praying I don't come across any of those RSP profiles where the individual has bits that require the use of a wheelbarrow for transportation. Muagh.

Moon Guard is indeed a scary place.

Greetings from Kargath. I too went there once because I was SURE Moon Guard's Goldshire was being vastly exaggerated. Nuff said...?

                      Greetings from Wyrmrest Accord (H)!

I just read this on the site and remembered this thread and had to search for it to reply.

                      Q. What areas will be shared?

This can vary from realm to realm and relies on how densely populated (or underpopulated) an area is. Capital cities and areas with regularly high populations will not be eligible for area sharing.
So...sounds like since MG's Goldshire is notoriously high in population, other servers are safe from their shenanigans.
