The WORST is when people smell bad and instead of showering they cover it up with some nasty perfume or cologne. It reminds me of that Febreze commercial where they say: "The only thing worse than having your home smell like fish is having it smell like fish....and flowers. "
Maybe you should keep a bottle of Febreze on hand and squirt them surreptitiously (sp?) as they walk by...

That stuff works...when I first moved into my apartment the carpet reeked so bad of smoke it made me ill. I sprayed it with Febreze each morning before I left for work. I pretty much emptied the bottle on it over 3 days and it was gone.

And what is it with so many womans perfumes that smell like fermented fruit.
My usual impression is that they smell like chemical factories. Seriously, I actively dislike the smell of most perfumes. It wasn't until I started hitting the health food stores that I found stuff that I liked on a regular basis.

I really do not know what is worse...........middle aged to old women who bathe in so much Elizabeth Taylor or Chanel perfume that there's a "fog" around them.....

Or people who are so nasty and dirty that all you smell is BO, sweat, dirt.........the kind of people who think showering is illegal.......

I never could understand why people feel the need to put on "scents"; it makes bees come up to you in the summertime and it makes me feel gross and gives me a headache. Just practice good hygeine and put on deodorant! Geez.

There's a woman who works 1st shift whose perfume or bodywash smells like coconut, like sunscreen product from a tanning salon.........every morning when she relieves me and I go home I think of the beach lol.....

There's also a woman I work with who always has coffee on her smoke breaks, I'm so glad she uses gum afterwards. I hate coffee/cigg breath. Ew.

I can't stand the cigarette smell either. I used to work with a guy who would go out on his break to smoke and came in reeking so bad you'd think he'd been smoking in a closet and not outside. Luckily he quit and smells much better now

I also hated the people who'd come in in the summer smelling like sunscreen. Yeah, cuz they make me jealous...they'd be buying some trashy book on their way to spending a sunny day at the beach while I was stuck in an over-air conditioned store ringing up people on their way to the beach. At least put your sunscreen on after you shop instead of tormenting me so!

I detest it when customers come up to the register who smell like they shat their pants, or that they rubbed cigarette ashes all over themselves and their clothes. As offensive as I find the "overly perfumed" customers, these two odors make me want to be mean and evil to the person.

A coworker of mine that sits right next to me feels that there's no problem with spraying her cloying deoderant around. Yes, AROUND. not on herself...*choke cough*
Then today, at the bookstore, I was standing next to a woman who obviously decided the best way to apply her cheap Poison knockoff perfume is to pour it in a bucket and splash around in it. *gag*

Urgh. I hate passengers who wear lots of perfume on a plane.

    Eating perfume

I went out to my favorite Mongolian BBQ place the other night. While I am waiting in line, Ms. Marinade comes up next to me at the buffet.

Her perfume was SOOOOO strong- I could taste it. I am horribly allergic to perfume, so my sinuses start to throb soon after encountering the scent. It almost bowled me over when she came up! I couldn't even smell the food cooking anymore!

Thankfully, my food got cooked and I was able to sit down and all was well...until Ms. Marinade and her crew went to leave. Then the draft from them walking out the door blew her death scent allover the restaurant... It lingered for minutes after she was gone...I thought my eyes would bleed out and my head would explode... yuck.

I think wearing that much perfume should be illegal. And the punishment should be that everyone in the surrounding area can take you outside and hose you down. Considering the 20 degree weather here, that would have been damn satisfying, too.
Working...
