Seriously, a "lawyer" calling at that hour is fishy enough, let alone, offering no settlement at all....just Tolly's good will and sense of forgiveness, best I can tell. I'm not sure it's even legal to call at that hour. I know that debt collectors and telemarketers aren't allowed to call after 9:00PM.

Query: Is the caller ID record still intact? Was the call itself recorded? Or are you in a two-party state? You might also have her friend for practicing law without a license.

I'm taking Panadol and about to strap it up for 48 hours of rest. Wheeeee.

good point, especially since you never know if the lawyer was recording. (some states don't require 2-party authorization, and if the lawyer was calling *from* such a state he can record it)
