I dislike 3D movies when they go for the cheesy "Let's scare everyone with crap popping out at them" attitude, but I think it can be done well. I dislike how 3D is everywhere now, to the point that some of my friends who can't see the 3D effect just don't go to the movies anymore, because no theater in the area shows 2D.

I do like the 3DS, and I love that the 3D effect can be adjusted or turned off on the device.

I do keep looking at these. Has anyone actually tried them themselves? (I also have the glasses over glasses problem though).

T_G - I think its because its "extra content" as such and they can of course charge more. I also think most of the studios don't want to be seen as not keeping up by not doing 3D stuff. >.<
Now that I think about it, if you're the artsy type, you could make your own pair of "2d" glasses. get two pair of standard 3d glasses, pop the right (or left) lens from both and place into your own frames (artsy because you'll need to reshape the lenses to fit in other frames or make your own frames).

I have an eye condition that for some reason I can't see 3d in movies, but I can see the 3d effect on the 3DS.
