In Britain, roundabouts are either double-lane and big enough to be navigated by large vehicles, or they are "mini" versions with only a big white blob of paint marking the centre. Obviously large vehicles can just drive across the paint if necessary.

There is one exception - the "Magic Roundabout" somewhere near London, which is a backwards roundabout made up of five minis. Based on both the name and the design, I think somebody was smoking something interesting.

      Here's one circle near me...
      Carrier Circle

They changed it a few years ago with how traffic enters the circle. When you approach you have your choice of two lanes, one the enter the circle, and the other will take you to the next road, avoiding the circle. The problem is, during rush hour, people will use the outer lane to skip the line and jump right onto the circle since when they re-did it, they did not put a curb, or median, to seperate the two lanes.

Some of the local roundabouts (once someone explained that it's considered a safety hazard to put a big hill in the centre of them) are built with the centre circle low enough that buses can drive over the centre circle somewhat if needed, presumably trucks can do the same.

I still don't know how to drive in one properly, despite the region sending out little brochures all the time. I'm not sure what I'll do when there's one in my route, either hop off and become a pedestrian, or just try to bull through and watch the other drivers for what to do.
How about the East Longmeadow MA rotary

Taat makes the one I posted look tame. Someone was smoking something really good to come up with that.

You said it. I have a friend who's a courier, & he'll deliver to central London & will happily drive around Marble Arch. Even he won't go near that mess.

They should just level it all & put in one of those gigantic roundabouts you get underneath some motorway junctions. Goodness knows it couldn't be any worse, even if they went completely insane & put traffic lights on it (yes, traffic planners in this country are that crazy - after all, roundabouts are supposed to negate the need for traffic lights).
