Not Going To Happen

The same conversation happened maybe 3 or 4 more times over the course of the night.. Finally 10 o'clock rolls around and I notice he hasn't come up to the front desk yet, So as a courtesy I rang his room to inform him that if he wants a ride out to the airport he must get here for 1030.. He gives me the same indignation he has all night and then says "fine!" And hangs up..

1030 rolls around and he still hasn't shown.. 1045 and I call is room again..

Had it been me, I would've flat out told him at the 10:30 call something along the lines of, "It is now 10:30. If you are not down here in 5 minutes, I'm leaving." I'm willing to wait quite a bit more than many (most?) other cab drivers, but... half an hour? No. (Big Green Cab Co's policy is 5 minutes after a scheduled pickup time, otherwise 5 minutes after arrival. Drivers can wait longer, but it's at our option.)
