    Wherein I am fraudulent, apparently.

    Caller at work on Saturday:

    " I want refunds for all 6 months of my account billing, even tho I have been using it!"

    Quoth me "I apologize sir, I am only able to provide one month's refund as a courtesy"

    Customer "Then I want a manager, and I will also be calling the FBI!"

    Cue me again "I will connect you to a manager, one moment please sir."

    Internal me: "Yes sir, the FBI will break off chasing Jason Bourne right now and come get your refunds for you. "

    I would not be able to refrain from laughing.

    I would be curious, though, as to WHY this customer felt they should get all this money back.

    Other than typical customer insanity, that is.

      We don't work for the same company nor do our companies do the same thing, and yet that first sentence: I've experienced that scenario. Guy went to collections.

        Evidently wanting all the money back is common everywhere.

        And as far as why he wanted it back, Mooncat, Custy believed the membership he had was free because he didn't RTFP. Actually it's a dollar for a 7 day trial that goes to a billed membership if not cancelled. T&C clearly stated, not that anyone looks at that part.

        Sigh.

            Why, because they said so, and The Customer Is Always Right, aren't they? I mean, they keep saying it...

              Given how often the Terms and Conditions go unread I am sure that someone could slip a line saying that they owe your company their first-born child and less than 1% of people would catch it.

                Yep. Wish I had that kind of money, personally. Best believe I read my bank balance better than that, tho. Terms and conditions too.

                But then again, life in a call center provides so much snark, it's fun.

                And when I got the sup on the line to explain why he wanted to talk to her, she actually let out a snort of laughter at his FBI comment. Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster our management gets it too.

                  Somebody did that a few years ago. Put some really ridiculous terms in the User Agreement for their service. It was just a prank, though.

                        I worked for a credit card company before some of the things people wouldn't look at statements for months and then realize they were being billed sill others like businesses they wouldn't look at statements till the end of the year when they do taxes

                            Then you have the people who just use there card and cant remember where they spent the money and then when u call the company there like oh yah I did buy that...

                            So you cant call the company first you just want to dispute it on your credit card..... Majority of the time the dispute turned out to be a valid charge once u got the company on the line so then we would never file the dispute
