Constitutionally protected rights are those that the government must not violate, but they have no bearing on relationships between private citizens. Thus it would have been impossible for you to violate his constitutional rights..

I would say it was more you violated his constipational rights.

    started a topic I violated someone's constitution rights!!11!!!

    I violated someone's constitution rights!!11!!!

I work for a pharmacy chain with three letters. I don't work in the pharmacy but I work in the front store.

So an SC comes up to the register with some items and the cashier rings him up. Then he tries to argue with the cashier that he doesn't have to pay sales tax. Cashier doesn't know how to do that so she calls me. I explain it's really easy and all the SC has to do is show me his tax id certificate from the state and we can wipe off the tax. SC proceeds to hand me this card which has all kinds of mumbo jumbo on it and at the end all it says is he doesn't have to pay sales tax.

I inform him that I need something more than that, I need a LEGAL document from the state with a tax id number on it. Every tax exempt customer in the past (at least that I've dealt with at all my previous jobs) always has the proper documentation with them. He tries to claim that every other place does it for him. One of the places he claims does it for him I KNOW is BS because you have to fill out paperwork and send it into corporate and get a tax exempt card from them.

So now he's ticked off and starts accusing me of violating his constitutional rights to not have to pay sales tax. Keeps spouting off things I don't understand. Finally I tell him I'm going to call the police and have him escorted. That's enough for him to just pay and leave.
