I had folks try to tease me like that. I can move when I want to, surprises the hell out of them.

Of course, stopping is a different matter. Physic keeps getting in the way. You know the whole "mass in motion tend to stay in motion" thing.

Not one of them said thanks but the last one, a young man, stopped dead in his tracks, turned and looked me straight in the eye and said, "You know, ugly is a crime. You should be locked up."

That's horrible... maybe he had alzheimers or something... that's really horrible. I would have told the wife to leave him at home next time.

I usually have this ready if someone insults my looks or weight.

            Yes, I'm gross
            Yes, I'm ugly
            Yes, I'm weird
            Yes, I'm stupid
            Yes, I'm skinny
Yes, I'm digusting but at least I'm not you.

              (insert insult here.)

"Well, at least I'm happy. And a nice person. So I don't need to go around insulting people in order to feel better about myself. I'm sorry you haven't reached that place in your own life."

I think the old guy was probably suffering from senility and dementia. Seriously, they get belligerent and confused and say very mean things. I wouldn't take that personally.

The younger guy, on the other hand, had problems of a different sort. Take comfort in the fact that by now, someone's probably handed him his ass for shooting off his big mouth to the wrong person. Walking around insulting random strangers is a pretty much foolproof way to get your ass kicked eventually.

I cannot believe that some people go around saying things like that to complete strangers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For all of my low self esteem, I don't think that anyone has ever called me fat or ugly to my face.

This is where it needs to be ok to physically inflict pain on someone. That is complete bs what I'm seeing here.

I know people can be mean and cruel sometimes but for cryin out loud these comments are totally uncalled for. Glad to see humanity at it's best. sheeeesh.

I once had a little kid tell me I was fat. I turned around and told him it was from eating rude little punks like him for breakfast. I then burped, and said, actually, this mornings brat didn't go down to well. He was a fiesty one! Care to be on the menu tomorrow?

The lil turd ran away screaming.

Yeah, I was chunky, but looking back at pictures, I wasn't nearly as fat as I was seeing in my own mind. I had huge self esteem issues, and it was because of jerks like that who thought it was funny to make comments like that.
One of my neighbors had a great comeback for idiots like that. All she'd say is "I can always lose weight, but you'll *still* be an asshole."

Uhm, on the way to work I was called a 'f--king stupid cow' by some guy who walked into a lamp post (in a different thread). This one wasn't at work but more on the way to school, but some random kid goes "how you doing, bitch? huh, you slag?", because the chav kids around here are just ASKING to be shot. Seriously. >_>

                          My take on it?
In fact, let's change that, if he's seated, just go over and stand right next to him, looking down at him, see if you can get your head in front of one of the lights so all he can see is your eyes. Just stare at him, make no moves. Let me tell you, it scares the crap out of people, particularly if you're in their space.
Heh, one time on my way to work, I got on the bus, and some young punk started mouthing off at me to look good to his friends. He was sitting, I was standing... 6 inches away. Lemme tell you, I got some really good looming skills. I stare at him for about a minute, and the kid starts to look REALLY scared, so I just shake my head and turn away. He starts up again, but in a shaky voice. Lucky my stop was next so I didn't have to teach him a second lesson.

"And if stupid, nasty and rude were crimes, you'd get the electric chair." I just don't get these worthless creeps who think they have the right to insult strangers. One day, Little Big Mouth is going to say the wrong thing to the wrong person and end up in traction.

I'm a big guy. 6'6" and well lets just say that around the catagory of the 96 cowboys defensive line type size (just not well built like that). All my life i've had people ask "wow how big are you", "how tall are you", "what sports did you play"....I finally wised up a few years back and the wife got me a couple of shirts. One says, "I'm Big, You're Small, Have a Nice Day" and the other simply says "I See Small People".
I saw a great shirt on a tallish woman: "No, I don't play basketball. Do you play miniature golf?"
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
