Nah, those idiots don't get to have Humvees. Only the military gets to have actual Humvees. You can't even get one surplus that hasn't been fatally disabled prior to sale. Civilians have to settle for Hummers, most of which just look stupid. And all of which make the phrase "compansate much?" run through my head when I see them.

The difference between the two is that the Humvee is manufactuered by American Motors, (which stopped making civilian vehicles in the seventies,) and the Hummer is manufactuered by General Motors.

There are notable spec differences, too, otherwise they wouldn't disable them before selling them at auctions. There are plenty of other vehicles that get sold, such as Jeeps, that are sold as is.

Why dont people just used the damn credit card thingy on the pump???? I do it all the time. Just pull up, slide yer card, pump your gas and split. It's really great especially when the gas station's so crammed full of people that you can barely open the door to get in.

Because the card reader at the pump won't be impressed by how much money they can flash around. These are the types of people who need to find validation from complete strangers to feel good about themselves.
