SC's kid causes a car crash in front of my store

Once it was apparent that neither driver was at fault, and nobody was killed, the two middle aged drivers were pretty cool.

Unfortunately, this was earlier this month and I don’t have any followup – I haven’t been contacted by anyone involved, so I have no idea how it worked out.

I'm actually surprised that the insurance company for the 2nd driver didn't contact you. Hmmm, maybe you're in a "no-fault" state and both people had insurance. Then it wouldn't matter that he rear-ended the guy and normally would be held at fault. Although I'd LOVE for both insurance companies to hold the female parental unit liable and to listen in to the call to that egg-donor explaining she owes $10,000 to repair BOTH vehicles for "failure to control child."

This story disgusts me. In that that breeder (I can't call her a mom, she hasn't earned that title by your account) apparently is of the opinion her son's behavior and her response to it is ok!

The weight wasn't the issue, it was the sharp corners on the bottom of it. Buddha is round, but the base he sits on sure isn't

We did have a corner chip off of it actually. We still have in on display, with the base twisted around so the chipped corner isn't showing, but on one of the end tables surrounded by plants, as are ALL our accessories now.

Strangely, I haven't had many crazies the last two months, which has been thankful, due to everything else going on in my life. If I had those come out in full force, I don't know how I would have survived Maybe karma finally decided to only beat me up from one angle at once?

Looking back on it now, everyone involved was incredibly lucky. Like I said, I'm assuming the police and the other people involved worked it out as I haven't had a phone call or a visit from anyone involved since it happened.

Odd that with a small child banging it against a solid oak table, hard enough to cause dents, it didn't end up causing damage to the statue as well.
It's a wonder the kid was able to lift it.

(besides the What truly depresses me about this is that not only will they not learn their lesson unless they do get in trouble with the law for the accident "pweshus" caused, if they do get away with it, mom basically just taught the brat that running away and not assuming responsibility for things that are your fault is a good thing to do.

She knows she's in the wrong, too, and any competent judge will find her very much in the wrong, to the tune of taking her kid away from her. Which is probably why she didn't sue the store or Kusanagi.
