In all my years in retail, I never understood why people who continually had "bad" experiences (in their own minds) kept repeatedly coming back.....and then whining about "I don't know WHY I come here!" or "You guys NEVER get it right!"....it's like, STOP coming then!

The people who did this the most to me at the gas station were the folk who got free gas vouchers from the Salvation Army, and people who came in every day and bought cigarettes with couch change...and of course, the EWs who refused to pay more than 45 cents for their beloved coffee.

Keeping that cheap, grumpy ass entitlement old geezer because he's a good customer?!! I think not. No wonder that manager had to sell his business.

keeping someone who brought in a whopping $1 sale is 'keeping a good customer?'

wtf? where'd doofus mc dipshit get his mba from? big shock that he went out of business
        Either:
        1. a box of Frosted Flakes, or
        2. Crazy Achmed's School Of Money and Selling and Customers and Stuff

Hopefully he hasn't had a second chance to run a business into the ground by bending over backwards for bad customers at the expense of the honestly good ones.

How are you supposed to get completely undeserved freebies then? Duh!

As much as I am SO glad I dont work there anymore, this is why I liked Subway. You watched them make the sandwich right in front of you, so no bitchin at a later time that anything was done wrong with it...YOU WATCHED THEM DO IT.
Yeah, but I have seen my share of people pull shit like this there as well. I have seen grouchy people complain the whole time about "that's not enough tuna!" or "You need so squirt more mayonnaise on that!" Sometimes I don't think the glass is there to provide a sneeze guard. It's to keep nasty, retchid people like this from attacking the employees for not making the sandwiches right.

I'm still convinced that's where my old boss got his. Decent guy, but overall clueless in some ways.
