The people in these stories are seriously starting to get on my nerves reading about them. The amount of foolish pride, assholishness, snatching things out of peoples hands, talking shit, physically attacking people and just a bevy of random foolishness is simply astounding.

I wish I could say it surprised me, but I spent too much time running an arcade to let it faze me:

        "That game doesn't work!!"
        "Uh, which game?"
        "The one over there!!"
"Can you tell me... which one over there?"
"The fighting game!" (Points at a line of games including MoreDull Kombat II, Moredull Kombat III, Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper Fighting*, Killer Instinct, Ergheiz**, Tekken II, and Virtua Fighter***.)
"Uh, I'll be with you as soon as I'm done with this customer. Please go stand by it and I'll be right over."

Happened several times each week. No, that's not an exaggeration.

*I wish I was making this name up. If you're not familiar with the series, this is like saying something is release 2.2.3.1.B (and bragging about how much better it was than 2.2.3.1.A). The SF line kept on pushing out new titles faster than we could convert the old ones, but it took them the longest time to change the name over to SFIII.
** Don't worry if you didn't ever see this one. It had some wonderful ideas, but the implementation sucked so bad that the game tanked quickly, even for a fighter.
*** This was about the time Apple came out with a computer line called the Performa, just to give you an idea how well this fit into the tacky-name fad of the late 90s.

No, and that was the problem.

You know the scene in that one episode of Family Guy where Peter is in the movie theatre watching Failure to Launch and he gets like 10 seconds in, throws his hands in the air and yells, "DONE!"?

Yeah, that'd been me in that situation.

wouldn't the deafening roar of the vacum have tipped her off??? or am I assuming too high of a brain function?

and to think these people dress themselves and operate vehicles
