I have no doubt that certain lines of work just seem to attract suckiness, but if that's the case, why not make it easier on yourself to begin with and assume there will be suck and at least attempt to head it off before it starts?

From my own personal experience tourists (of all nations) become more entitiled and generally shitty than when they are not on holiday.

For some reason tourists suddenly forget all manner and grace and expect everything to magically fall into their laps.

I must admit, I did think VRS was getting a large amount of fresh posts, but I had assumed that some of them were from times past and he was getting them from out of his memory.

Whenever some boorish customer comes up to me and tells me what to do rather than ask - as in, "Make me a turkey and cheese sub," - my first reaction is to reply,

"POOF! You're a turkey and cheese sub. Now how may I help you?"

Sometimes I resist the urge, other times I succumb to it. I am only human, after all.

In my experience, if a renting establishment includes breakfast, it will say so somewhere on the booking screen.
If it is self-catering, it also says so on the booking screen.
But yes, I know, that requires SCs to read. And it's far less effort to scream at someone than read something
