When will that Japanese fad end!?!
Hopefully never. But I AM getting royally sick of the good stuff in Japan and some of my precious few Korean anime getting sent over here and butchered (Tony Danza as Orochimaru? Really? ARE YOU FRICKEN SERIOUS?!?!?! STOP THAT RIGHT NOW, HOLLYWOOD! MY EYES! MY EARS!! MY EYES....MY FRICKEN EARS!!!!).

Times like that I stare at AdultSwim and cry.

And I almost watched Deathnote in English...ALMOST. I have it on a CD sent by EQ, but I have to have a computer for it with VLC and I don't currently. I have not killed my interest in Deathnote because of the Americanized version. I do mourn for Naruto, though.
Now a member of that alien race called Management.

Yeah, you see that right. Pink. Harness.

It's ok. When people hear my last name, they think I'm Asian. My last name is pronounced Wa (like...Waaaaaa!! in karate). I'm so white, that I don't really understand how I can be confused for Asian.

Don't watch dubs or Tokyopop. That'll fix it. Mostly.
Fansub groups stop distributing when a title is licensed. For Tokyopop-licensed anime you might have to look around other torrent sites for the fansub version.

        Tokyopop must DIAF.

Ooooh my brain to mouth filter would have failed big-time if anyone ever made a comment like that to me... I'd have probably said something along the lines of, "I'm sorry, is it time for your medication?"

You can download the VLC client for free.

A little OT, but in undergrad I had a "conversation partner" who was Japanese (I volunteered with the International Student Center). She was great fun - although she would get REALLY frustrated with herself when she couldn't come up with the English word for whatever she wanted to say.

She came to spend part of Thanksgiving with my family. My oh-so-country redneck family. I did NOT know how my parents (especially my Dad, dog love him, he has no sense of what's appropriate) would react. They were fine, and a great time was had by all (Dad even tried some sticky rice and he won't ever ever EVER eat anything new). But it was a fun little cultural experience.

But those guys? I prescribe the trout treatment.
