Please don't give Stephanie Meyers any more ideas.

I think I read someplace that recently Stephanie Meyer had the top 5 books in the bestsellers list.

That's wrong on so many levels.

Indeed, aren't there only four books in that series? Not counting the one that's a rewrite from Edward "OMG, I'm not a vampire' Cullen's point of view which Miss Thang decided not to release once the rough draft was leaked?

I tried to read Twilight, I honestly did. I enjoyed the Harry Potter series after my mom pointed it out to me, and my mom pointed out Twilight, too, though mostly cause the author is Mormon and my mom is Mormon.

I can't stomach it. I told myself, first 5 chapters at least. It was so wretched for me to read, my mind has blocked it out, I cannot remember it, it was so horrid.

Dear god, I am so thankful I have no teenage daughters right now.

The Cullens are not true vegetarians, as they do eat animals, which are....meat.

Yes, I watched the movie. Feel free to throw whatever you want at me.

All I gotta say is damn......I've been to Washington......a couple of small towns similar to "Forks", and the paleness of the skin is way too exaggerated. Only people in Wisconsin are that pasty. All I can say to everyone in that movie that isn't a vampire....go out in the damn sun. There's milky, beautiful porcelain skin and then there's what I used to look like.....Edward Cullen's sister who hates Bella. BLECH, that was awful! I used to try to make myself so white that I'd glow in the dark.

I was actually hit by some teeny bopper when as I was walking past the Twilight section in a Wally World, I commented to my husband "Oh look honey, it's the Lost Boys of our generation."

Chicky came up to me, hit my arm and told me I was an old coot and didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Then she looked at my husband and mumbled "oh sh*t I am sorry" and ran off.

I've probably said this before but I work in a library....Twilight makes my soul ache basically every day. Total, utter, trite drivel.

The bes was this kid yesterday trying to convince me that TWILIGHT WAS THE BEST BOOK EVARRRR YEA!! He's telling me how "well-written" and "complex" it all was...

Give me The Great Gatsby any day---easily one of my favorite books as a teen (and still today). F. Scott Fitzgerald > Stephanie Meyers...

I know a girl who's around 12 or so I think, and she's reading Twilight at the moment. She thinks it is pretty rubbish, which makes me happy! I told her to give Dracula a read, and when she's a bit older to read the Necroscope books. Proper vampires!

yes, but she also wrote another book called "The Host".

which is, technically EVERY single Stephen King book, since eventually... they all become Dark Tower.

All this hubbub....about a stupid movie based on a stupider book about some whiny twat and her sparkly vampire boyfriend? The mind boggles.
Have you ever seen the movie? I would never read the novels but I did enjoy the movie.
Ditch your rapidly-becoming-obsolete film camera and buy a digital camera already, because digital photography is the reason why a lot of our film developing services are going away anyway.
Film gives you a better picture quality though and I only use film for photos I care about, like nature photos, digital is for stuff that doesn't matter, like family.
