I'm trying to think of any airport I've been in that is uglier and nastier than Newark. Key West, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Fran, Sea-Tac, Tampa, San Diego, Chicago, St. Louis, Denver (the old one), Orlando, Westchester, Dulles.....nope, can't think of a single one.

Take it from someone whose primary job is to deal with airline customer service, or lack thereof, on a full time basis:
They ALL suck to one extent or another, but USAirways is the absolute BOTTOM OF THE BARREL in terms of overall service.
I live in a Delta town. They suck, but I'm used to their shenanigans, and amd able to play the game accordingly.
The only airline I don't wholeheartedly despise is Southwest."So, if you wanna put places like that outta business, just stop being so rock-chewingly stupid." ~ Raudf, 9/19/13

Generally the problems in ATL stem from the fact that the Airport is MASSIVE and literally the busiest in the world (in terms of passengers served)! And it's not as if any airport was ever designed with comfort, ease or efficiency in mind. I live in Atlanta and have had to deal with Delta frequently when I worked for a travel agency. Personally, I've never had much issue, however I only fly for leisure not for business.Last edited by stucksb; 04-07-2009, 03:16 AM.

Oh crap. And here I was thinking that my flight to LA next month would be fine because it wasn't on AA. But it is Continental.Quoth Gravekeeper View PostWorst offenders are AA/US Airways, Delta and Continental in that order.
Do you service Dallas, too?
Becauseifwhen I get stuck in Texas in the middle of the night, the least I could look forward to is having a brief conversation with infamous Gravekeeper.
And yes, it is in fact when I get stuck in Texas. Every time I fly through Dallas I get stuck over night. I've tried telling my g/f to find different flights, but she's adamant because she's paying and this is the best rate. *sigh*

The last few times I've flown it has been through Newark and I've quite enjoyed it compared to other airports I must admit. . . .
This May however I will be flying to JFK, then Atlanta on the way to Sarasota, then Cincinnati to JFK on the way back home, new airports I've never experienced before. . . yay?

Crap, I just found out that work has me flying to Phoenix with USAir on Monday and back on Wednedsay.Quoth Gravekeeper View PostPhoenix and Las Vegas are the two worst for missing connections with AA and Delta. With LA thrown in now and than. Phoenix is practically a nightly occurrence though.

At least it's a direct filght from MKE.Last edited by kenny4269; 04-08-2009, 04:05 PM.

And the Cincinnati airport isn't bad either. Personally, I like the shopping in both.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
