Swine flu fun!

I feel your pain.

I had to create a 'flu' folder in my freakin outlook to keep up on it.

Yep - we've got one with both air and hotel policies in it - I'm not even reading them, just automatically filing them in the folder that's available for all of the support staff. If we need it, we'll look to see if we have it!

Side note: Most customers have been fairly calm and decent about this. I'm only 6 hours into my weekend shift, though.

We've seen an immediate drop off once the cancellations/rebookings went through. For us, since we deal exclusively with travel agents, we haven't had the standard confusion/incomprehension that accompanies dealing with the public. However, I'm finding 9and hearing from others!) that a certain group of agencies are getting extremely greedy and trying to pocket the refunds we are offering by trying to get us to refund them by cheque when the booking was paid by the passenger's credit card. Lucky for us, our policy has always been that we refund to the original form of payment, so they are S.O.L. That has been where the majority of moaning has come from, with the "But I'm losing all my commission!!" excuse. Well, sorry sweetie, but MY company is losing millions. I can't sympathize with your $150.

OT, Saturdays are normally slow, but this is getting ridiculous. One girl had to go home sick, and we're not feeling the pinch in the slightest - staff are still bored!!

Downside is, I can send 'em home, but I can't go anywhere!! This is when I dislike being a supervisor!! LOL!

I've already read that, thanks. Just that the sentiment is dead on the money. I read this hysterical rant by someone comparing swine flu to the plague, and it's about time people injected a bit of realism into this situation.

I don't know about you, but the thought of eating and drinking is not more than 21 times scary than swine flu. Statistically, it should be.
