The worst part about the story I just mentioned? I had called two hours before that call regarding no connection, and the tech had me go through the usual BS that I went through before I called, and didn't say a thing about there being any outage. Moron.
I'm actually switching to DSL Extreme to see how they are. They have a high CS rating on Broadband Reports, and are less than half the monthly cost of Earthlink, so I think it's worth a try.
