If I had $11K to blow on a vacation, I wouldn't be wasting my time on the North American continent.

This is the resort where I'm going, someday.

And this will be my accommodations.

And someone else will be doing the bloody grilling FOR me while I sip margaritas on the deck watching the sunset over the Pacific ocean.

    Now THAT's a vacation.

I'm with you on this. If I had a vacation budget of that magnitude, I sure as hell would not be doing my own cooking--I do that at home, thank you.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

Hubby is reading over my shoulder ... $11K is about what the mortgage for the YEAR was on the farm [before it got paid off...]

We both have trouble imagining spending that kind of cash on a vacation, the most we have ever spent was about $2500, and that was for a 28 day leave where we drove to California for his sister's wedding, and that included 2 days at Disneyland. We both thought *that* was the height of indulgence.

If it was a new grill and it was not working he probably locked the tank up. If you open the valve of your propane tank and any of the gas knobs on your grill are turned to ON the tank thinks there is a gas leak and locks up as a safety measure. Thats why with propane tanks made now if you open it up without it connected to anything it will not let out any gas. The solution is to close the tank valve, disconnect it from the regulator, reconnect it, make sure the grill knobs are all OFF, then open the tank valve and it should unlock. Then turn on your burner and ignite.

I sell grills and 90% of the time when someone complains their grill is not working this is the problem.
