Hooray for the police! Let's hope this arsehole gets the whole library thrown at him!

Some more tips on how to make it through. You can call 211 and explain how things are going and they may have some ideas and places to go. Also they will have a list of food banks that service your area. You may not get to choose what they give you, but it will help alleviate the monetary stress of buying food so you can pay your bills.
I've used food banks many times over the years and volunteered at them as well. They do require some filling out of paper work and I believe pay check stubs. They try to give you enough to last you a week or 2 per trip.(Depends on the food bank.) They usually have common things like milk, eggs, some kind of meat, pasta, dry beans, and cereal, as well as canned fruits and veggies.
Some even have things like toothpaste, diapers(if you need them), toilet paper, etc.

      Hope that helps!

BSN, I dont know where you are but I have an extra infant car seat. You can PM to see if your local. If not, the other thing I can to is put you in touch with your local Parents of Multiples club. Even though you don't have multiples are clubs are usually great about finding stuff for parents in need.

Thanks for all the awsome ideas, links and support. I'm going to have my husband call the unemployment office on Monday. I'm not sure that he would qualify for unemployment because he voluntarily quit after all this happened. But I'll have him call and explain the situation, and maybe they can do something for him.
If he delivers pizza and he doesn't have a car, then that would be a reason he couldn't continue with the job. Otherwise, if he can point out how upset he was from being held up at gunpoint, and scared, or if he had to take a pay cut to stay and do another job, then that should be considered in the decision.

          Thanks for keeping us updated.

BSN & family...I'm really sorry to hear what happened, but I'm also amazed at all the good suggestions from the folk on CS. Keep your chin up love, or the bad guys have won.

Yet another update. We received paperwork today saying my husband is supposed to appear in Juvenile Court to appear. Yeah apparently the guy who did this is a juvenile. We talked to the Prosecutor today, who said he's going to try and get the kid tried as an adult. I guess there were two other kids involved with this, so they are trying all 3 of them as adults.

My husband already said he can't identify the guy, but they still want him to testify. Not sure if they lifted any prints off our car or not, because the cops work night shift and the Prosecutor works day shift, but we'll find out soon enough.

Husband has found another job, working at the Pizza Hut near us. It's in a much better neighborhood, closer to home and they've never been robbed, and only deliver to one questionable place and don't go there after 8 p.m. Husband says he feels fine to work there.

So now we're still looking for another car, we have funding to replace the car seat and GPS. We just need to wait on him to get started at the new store and get some paychecks rolling in again, and the cout date on August 4th, so I'll update this again after that.

So glad to hear that he's up to going back to work and that he's found a better place to do it from.

Hopefully, you can find a car like we did.

Talk to the prosecutors office and ask about a victim's rights advocate.

I was assaulted back in 2006? and had Mr. Asshole arrested. Since I was a victim of a crime, I had some lawyers helping me, holding my hand thru the process of getting Mr. Asshole convicted.

BTW, this schmuck didn't go to jail. He's got a mental illness, which hoses his emo control....so he got counseling.

Do you have a diary? Does your husband (long shot)....it might help showing what emotions/feelings you went through when this happened.

Hugs to everyone, even Little BSN!
