...thats the damage you take as a large beef cow falls on you from no where, leaving the rest of the party untouched.
In a game of MERP, the party approached a tower in which a draagon-like creature resided. Suddenly, a half-eaten carcass of a cow is hurled from the top of the tower. Sadly one of the party was hit by the dragon's discarded lunch, and MERP crit rolls being what they are suffered rather serious crush injuries.

That tower also became famous for the time we left the baggage mule in an out building, and forgot about him. Several scenarios later, the GM reminded us about the poor beast, and the player who had been 'looking after' him, thought long and hard, and the last time he had been mentioned was at the dragon's tower. Still, if Bill the Pony got home, I'm sure our poor pack mule did too.

my favorite method of dealing with rule zero breakers is to use the Moo card. Take all the dice you own, and roll them...thats the damage you take as a large beef cow falls on you from no where, leaving the rest of the party untouched.

I have some NPC reaction dice, which have various faces, ranging from big smile - happy to see you; to angry scowl - PCs must die.

Lego has some interesting dice in the new games they're releasing this year. You can change the faces on them. Lego dice, select the "more views" feature, scroll right for close-up of die.

I collect wierd and interesting dice.

My favourites are my d30 and my d7
    Got a pair of these?

A friend of mine works for a dice manufacturer. I still need to call him up and order my "what's for lunch?" dice...

64 sided dice? Bah. Kid's stuff. I liked the literally 100-sided die my ex roomie had. Thing was basically a golfball.

I believe the gaming thread would work well for that. After all, it's still gaming. No reason it can't go in there.

As for D&D, I'm told I play a very convincing Kender...
Piss off the Munchkin, play a maxed Dex/Cha kinder. They're helpless against them!

My best character was a kinder. His name was Noah and his twin sister was Nada. Their mother was Dara. Family name?

    Chance!

I would also just like to say that...

DICE ARE ONLY SUPPOSED TO HAVE 6 SIDES!!! It's the way God intended!!!

666-SIDED DICE ARE THE TOOLS OF THE DEVIL!!!!

    There. I feel better now.
    Fixed it for you.

    Heathen!

    I cast fireball!

*rolls snake eyes with his 2D6, self-immolates*

    Shit...

(Seriously, I'm pretty agnostic on the subject, though a lot of that is playing in games where the GM doesn't feel enslaved to stat-based rules... and is death on D20 systems. )

One of them, who also appears in Ultimate Hissy Fit, just sits in the corner listening to music, and if anything so much as hits his character he gets up and leaves the room.
Now there is an incentive to "play nice"...

    [/sarcasm]

But, of course, intentionally driving off an annoying player is wrong.

(For certain unreasonable definitions of "wrong", of course... none of which I happen to use. )

    You actually play Rolemaster?

Andara, we're moving to Ohio, right? =^_^=

(Seriously, Rolemaster is one of my favorite systems, right up there with Hero System)
Yup, and my friend who is running it knows the system well enough that "Chart Law" doesn't slow up the game too much. I'm playing a half-elf army thief scout/spy.

My (just turned) 9 year old son has become interested in D&D, and keeps pestering ME about it.

He was intrigued by the idea of a summer camp for it.

    Heh

Sure. I'm not running right now, but I can set you up in one of our regular groups. Of course, we're in the Southern Ohio area, in the vicinity of Middletown and South Dayton. OH, we also tend to oddball games like Mekton Zeta, Rolemaster, and such. Currently playing: Rolemaster set in Middle Earth in the times leading up to the beginning of the events in Lord of the Rings; Car Wars & GURPS; and Shadowrun universe done up in the Cyberpunk/Mekton rules. We're also looking to start up (sometime in the next few months) a classic T.M.N.T game, possibly modern-day or After the Bomb. Send me a PM if interested.
