Here in California, there have been some rather notable court cases involving (sometimes famous) entitlement whores who feel they own every inch of the beach from their house out to the 3-mile limit (or so it seems) despite the law that says you can't own the beach. Everything below the mean high-tide mark is public land. (Yeah, and the USN gets to override that - just try walking on the beach between the Hotel Del Coronado and the Silver Strand State Beach -- a private security guard in the navy's employee will tell you to get lost. Sorry, digression.)

All of those court cases have been found against the homeowners, but some of them still refuse to comply. Many homeowners in Malibu are like that.

Did I mention that I hate entitlement whores? And that I love the beach!
I will not be pushed, stamped, filed, indexed, briefed, debriefed, or numbered. My life is my own. --#6

I bet the beach wasn't even crowded and she was just trying to get money back.
I was not hired to respond to those voices.
