    I wont even refer to this one as a guest because he wasnt. He rented with another company. So I will refer to him as EW

    EW: Hi Dave, I saw this promotion you were running where I can rent five nights and get two nights free and I'd like to do that

    Me: ok did you know which property you wanted or did you want me to check availabilty?

    EW: If you can check, that would be great

    Nothing out of the ordinary here so I check and tell him what I have and the price

    EW: I thought it was two nights free

    Me: yes but you pay for the five nights

    EW: I already booked five nights with another company

    Me: well then you arent eligible for the two free nights unless you book with us

    EW: well your ad doesnt say that

    Me: sir, I cant give you two free nights when you dont even have a reservation with us

    EW: well dont you think you should say that in your ad?

    Me: well sir, I think it's kind of understood

    EW: this is bait and switch, thats what this is. May I speak to a manager?

    Me: certainly

    Ok, the manager laughed at him. Yes she laughed at him. He wasnt our customer anyway so no big loss.

    Wow. Um. What? He seriously thought that he could rent anywhere, and get two free nights with you?


    Oh I hope he goes to court. (Just to be laughed at there).

    ... Just. My jaw dropped. Not an easy task.

      I'm surprised your manager actually laughed at him instead of kissing his ass. I suppose the fact that he wasn't financially invested in your company helped somewhat.

          But then I'm surprised some of your customers have enough brain cells to figure out how to use a telephone . . .

              Yeah, they usually shout to speak to one NOW while cursing out VRS in the process. But the EW was pretty stupid to demand the promo for VRS' company while he was renting with the other company. At least this time the manager had a spine, it's a shame he/she doesn't have one with the other SC's and EW's VRS gets.

                    Nah. You see the difference is, in all the other stories they had paying customers, so they'd bend and spread 'em to keep the customer happy even when it was totally unwarranted. In this case, there was never a chance that they'd see a dime from this guy, so since they can't lose anything, they might as well grow a pair. Don't worry, they'll fall off when the next EW comes around...
