I'm partial to the Reginald Owen version... it has its own cookbook!

The fact remains I have never seen it. Period.Quoth EvilEmpryss View Post
How can you not have seen A Christmas Story?!?!? It has only played 24 hours straight every Christmas day for the last ten (or more!) years!
To add to my heathenism, I also have never seen "Miracle on 34th Street," either. Though I've seen snippets. Maybe the whole thing in bits and pieces, but I can't swear by it.
Nah..... I hate commercials in my movies.Quoth calulu View PostJester, go watch it right now...
Good to know I'm not alone.Quoth LadyAndreca View PostThough I also have never watched "A Christmas Story".
This may shock some more than the whole "Christmas Story" thing, but I have never actually seen "It's A Wonderful Life," either.Quoth LadyAndreca View Post"It's A Wonderful Life".
Not even partially, other than the occasional clips news or entertainment shows or other movies run when referencing it.
I probably should see both at some point. But frankly, I'm in no hurry.

To the Christmas Carol debate:
The Muppet version is by far the most entertaining, but as far as the non-musical versions go, I like the Patrick Stewart one (plus I get to look at Patrick Stewart!
)
Jester, if you do watch Miracle on 34th Street, make sure it's the original B&W one, not the more recent versionDon't wanna; not gonna.

Jester, just go to youtube and look up Tourettes Guy. And watch them all.
There aren't any new videos, as he died a couple of years ago.

. In his version, you can actually see the thought process that goes into Scrooge's transformation. It's not just fear of hell, like it is in some productions; you see him realizing what he's deprived himself of all his life. Many versions make the transformation seem almost superficial.
Oh, and Jester, I've never seen "A Christmas Story" either.
