Dammit it's Friday!

This post reminded me about a SC I had a last Friday.

Really simple, really stupid....

I had a SC approach me and ask if I have any more of a item. I knew I did...

Me: Yes I do. Let me go get some.
SC: Great. Thanks.

A minute later later as I come out of the back, holding item.

SC: Where did you go!!!????
Me: to get <item> you asked for.
SC: Well how the hell was I supposed to know. I'm not a mind reader. Ridiculous.

The SC stomps off.

...I think that's a clear example of the (de)evolutionary process of eliminating human attention spans.

Common sense is not at all common. At work we get customers looking around at all the cigarettes who tell me to hold on when I ask what are they looking for because well it hard to figure out exactly which thing behind me your staring at. Then they go "You don't have any Marlboro X!", at which point I reach from rack above my head and pull it down, could have saved 2 minutes and not had a line starting just asking for it to begin with.
