    Its that time again....<sob>

And yes, I am acutely aware of the irony of someone filming a show about a CSR on a homicidal rampage right next to me.
God, you're going to hate me for doing this but:

    Gravekeeper Is

Robert Keith the Homicidal Call Center Jesus...3D
Coming Soon to Theaters and IMAX.

Speaking from one inbound call center operator to another, may I just say that your "Just a quick note" series of rants, every single one of those notes, made me want to cry and hug you and say "I KNOOOWWWWWWW!!!!"

    Ah Yes.....Irony.
If a person who commits a felony is a felon.
If a person who commits arsony is an arson.

    Then God is an iron.

"Baldrick, do you even know what irony is?"
"Yeah...it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made of iron."

    .....sorry .

IIRC, Zee v. Zed was an important plot point in a Tanya Huff novel.
They did something similar in a Doctor Who episode (Sixth Doctor and Peri, don't remember exactly which episode). She was reading off coordinates, said "zee" and the Doctor exploded. "Zee? ZEE?! It's ZED!!!"

I've seen enough British TV to know that Zed = Z and Haitch = H. Don't know if any other letters are pronounced differently.

It's definitely Haych here in Australia, although some people flip-flop between Zee and Zed.

CTV is ending it's broadcast day so as I'm reading the Zee/Zed debate, I can hear "Oh, Canada!" in the background. (I have a TV to watch in the lobby now ^-^) So it felt very patriotically Canadian.

I have a friend who insists Z= Zee and H=Hey-Ch. She refuses to agree to disagree so if you say Zed or Ai-ch in front of her she will follow you around and correct you. So I no longer spell near her.

But honestly, it takes MUCH less than Alien Possession to make an CSR go on a rampage. Unless by Alien Possession they mean one too many SCs.

It's "Zed", not "Zee", and "Aboot", not "A large shoe", damnit!

If you're trying to summon me, you need a 750mL bottle of Jagermeister and a French-made handgun!
    So that's why you didn't appear. I have a Belgian-made handgun.

    I must learn this.

I just tell them I'm Buddhist.

No one seems to know enough about Buddhism to figure out how to damn me. I literally had one pamphlet dispenser just stare at me blankly, go "Oh" and walk away.

The last time someone tried that with me, I started singing the chorus from Samsas Traum's 'Satanas'. They crossed themselves and ran like a scared little deer. If it's not grounds for termination where you work, you could give it a try.
    I must learn this.

I really can't believe I even have to say this, but please take the cock out of your mouth. ( How I wish I was joking ).

Ok. I know we're in the mutitasking age.. but..that? Seriously? In my 5 years as a CSR I encountered a lot.. but not that. You have truly crossed over to a strange, new realm, GK.

May I use this as a status on one of the social networks of which I am a member?
That is a Reference(tm). I delight in hiding them amongst the errata.

And yes, it is pronounced Zed as in sounding like red. It wouldn't bother me much if some Yanks didn't angrily try to "correct" me in that "WE SPEAK AMERICAN HERE" tone of voice. >.>
