I was not aware that newspaper could be so deadly.

Mythbusters did an segment on prison-made weapons, including a cross-bow made of paper. yes it functioned. in the prologue segment adam was almost drooling over the display of confiscated weapons, including a working handgun fashioned from plumbing pipes

Personally the fact that the person was brilliant enough to bring a near identical weapon into the courthouse..lowers my faith in humanity. Bringing ANY weapon into a courthouse (unless you are the ones set to guard it) makes me question a person's intelligence. Bringing one identical to the one confiscated from you, for which you are on trial for having/using..well Mensa material does not make.
