This is a burning question that must be laid to rest! If you need any assistance in conducting research into this matter, it would be my pleasure to help out. Anything in the name of science.

What? It had to be said.
    Ummm yeah

Yeah, this one's not that mysterious. My current dog ate part of a recliner, some of a tile floor, and part of a staircase.
    A freakin' STAIRCASE?

      . . . wolf hybrid . . .? I rather thought those weren't legal to own as a pet.

Also, friends who do pets tell me wolf hybrids are simply not safe temperament-wise.
Some states yes, some states no. We got Lugh before we moved to CT, and my vet was in on the secret.

Lugh was amazingly sweet and well behaved. Of course we treated him like a pack animal, not a puppy - it does make a difference. He was rather baffled when the turkey chick adopted him as mommy but he was fine with a succession of cats and a companion husky/shepherd mix with one blue eye and one brown eye that got named Blue by one of my goddaughters. We got him at 5 years old and had him for another 9. He was a rescue from a puppy farm that was about to be raided, the owner found out and needed to get rid of him ASAP so he wouldn't get a major hit for owning a wolf hybrid in a non wolf state. About 3 months of intensive training and acculturating to pet status and a steady treatment thereafter. [if you vary how you treat a wolf, they get confused and lose training]

The way most idiots treat regular dogs, no they are not safe. Dogs aren't safe as pets for those jerks. Maybe a plushy toy.

I actually had something witty to say to this, but I forgot.
