We have a condiment 'out yar' that could start some of you retching from your tail bone! It's called 'Fry sauce': 1 part ketchup, 2 parts mayo plus some pickle juice.
That sounds suspiciously like Big Mac "special sauce". Lawyers from McDonald's will be contacting you shortly.

Here's a dip you can try for your next party from a local restaurant I like very much:
    Common Man Dip
    1-1/2 Cups cottage cheese
    3 Cups ketchup
    1 Cup horseradish
    1/4 Cup chopped parsley
    1/2 TBS Tabasco sauce
    2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 TBS crushed garlic
    1/4 Cup lemon juice

    Goes great on crackers!

That's like something they had at Quark's in Vegas.
I was so sad when I heard that the Star Trek Experience had closed down. Glad I got to have a drink at Quarks before the end!

My wife has never been a Star Trek fan. When an employee decked out as a Ferengi approached us and started talking to us I told my wife she should ask if she can rub his ears. Now THAT was a funny conversation even if I had to explain it all to my wife after the fact.
You'll find a slight squeeze on the hooter an excellent safety precaution, Miss Scrumptious.

To me, a plain cheeseburger is buns, meat and cheese. If I choose to have veggies, but no condiments, I order it dry. Amazingly, I have been understood every time I order it dry. Plain, not so much.

If it has cheese in the name, and you order it plain..why do they always ask if you want cheese? If I didn't..don't you think I'd order one of the many many burgers without cheese in the name? Now it doesn't bother me as much if there can be some doubt. A 'classic single' from the fast food place who's mascot is a red headed pigtailed female...I can understand...anyhow...

Dry - No mustard, ketchup, mayo, or other even slightly liquid like substances..tomato, onions etc remain on it.

Plain - Unless the name of it has Cheese in it, bun and patty only..nothing else.

However to get a 'true' plain hamburger around here you sometimes have to say "Plain and Dry" for some reason. *shrugs*

You beat me to making a thread on this subject. Regular has been a word that has plagued me ever since I started working at the Dunkin. I don't think a word has ever pissed me off so much, because at Dunkin, regular, to me, can mean a plethora of things:

          -Medium or small size
          -Regular as opposed to decaf
-Cream and sugar instead of black
-Black instead of cream and sugar

Then there's "regular bagel", because for whatever reason, people absolutely refuse to say the word "plain". Then there's the people who say they want a large regular coffee decaf, with cream and three splenda. I have no idea what the regular part is even in there for.

I had someone ask me yesterday for a regular sandwich. I wanted introduce my face to the counter.

The whole regular, medium, large thing is just an evil marketing trick. It enables them to avoid the word "small" in their ads and freebie promotions.

I suppose they meant "regular" as in "standard", as opposed to a double-whip-mocha-choco-latte-half-caff-super-grande-something *head explodie* ...type...thing...

All this talk about burger codes is bringing back memories from my FF days in the late '70's.

B(urger) or CH(eeseburger) "only" meant no veggies, default condiment (mustard) only.
"dry" meant no condiments, veggies only
"dry only" meant meat, bun (and cheese) ONLY

I can't believe I still remember the codes!
Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.
