Personally, I feel their appearance has little to do with anything, because they were ugly on the inside and scammers. It wouldn't matter if they were drop-dead gorgeous, they were still abusive jerks and I wouldn't stoop to their level with name-calling.

I knew by the title that had it been me I'd have had a brain to mouth filter problem. Doesn't matter what they looked like or why they asked for the discount, I'd be fighting my hardest not to say somthing snarky until they left.
How was I supposed to know someone was slipping you Birth Control in the food I've been making for you lately?

I used to be about appearances but I dropped it. My husband is overweight. I honestly don't really notice so it was a shock to me when my family (who are 100% body obsessed) commented on it. Then we got married and they realized what a wonderful man he is and they don't see it anymore either. The person you are definitely defines the way you look. And lying about what you ordered and making useless trouble is definitely a point for ugly.

Ugly on the outside AND the inside..that's a real winning combo. It's always the ugliest ones that think they're hot shit when really they're full of shit and ugly inside and out to boot.

Reminds me of a segment I saw on "dumb criminals" show that had me laughing out loud.

A cop was giving a female driver a ticket. He had finished writing and was giving her the spiel about court dates.
Woman: I thought cops didn't give pretty girls tickets!
Cop: You thought we didn't give pretty girls tickets?
                Woman: Yeah!
                Cop: We don't. Sign here.

I agree... I think their sudden pickiness and magical order changes were because they weren't given a "pretty girl" discount.

Or rather... they were intentionally setting you up so they felt justified in complaining and treating you like crap.

The minute they tried to scam a discount, their attractiveness dropped into negative numbers.

                        Attractive? Eccleston
More 'classic' bone structure etc? Tennant.

Using the definition of 'attractive' that includes how ones moves, holds their face, etc.

That said, if you asked me which of the three doctors I prefer (Eccleston, Tennant and Smith), my answer would depend on my mood. But it'd be Eccleston or Tennant.

No offence meant to Matt, he's just not quite in their league, in my opinion.

                        3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.

Christopher Eccleston (the Ninth Doctor, Doctor Who) doesn't hold a candle to David Tennant (the Tenth Doctor) as far as bone structure and inherent facial shape goes. But they both made charismatic, interesting, attractive Doctors. Why? Because of how they used what they had.

My husband is far more an Eccleston than a Tennant in basic appearance. But I married him.
Same here, on both fronts...hubby got me into Doctor Who and I think he really liked Eccleston's style, but I think Tennant is a dreamboat

As for the fast food "ladies"...kinda reminds me of the people I take calls from who think we should give them free shipping because they're spending $25,000 on outdoor furniture...I really feel sorry for them, that extra $95 is absolutely going to break their budget.

I love when people ask for or expect discounts for absolutely no valid reason whatsoever.

The girls in the OP wanted a Pretty Girl Discount, but they were not pretty, so they don't get one.

Thing is, I don't give a pretty girl discounts to ACTUAL pretty girls. Why? Well, let me give you a great example.

When I was bartending at the hotel, our cash drawers were somewhat limited, and we only gave change to customers of the bar or hotel guests. Downtown Key West being a parking nightmare, people are always seeking change for meters. Some businesses give change, some don't. We couldn't due to our limited drawers.

One day, a very attractive (and apparently very nice) girl comes in to the bar, and asks for change. I politely tell her that our change is for customers only, and she politely thanks me and leaves. No problem. My coworker looks at me as if I have a third head growing out of my ass. "Dude, what were you thinking? She was HOT."

Yes. Yes she was. And as I explained very slowly to my coworker, my giving her change or not giving her change would not have benefited me at all; either way, she was leaving the bar immediately afterwards. It was not as if my giving her change would suddenly make her swoon in appreciation, offering me her phone number, facebook info, and/or a hot oil massage. She would have thanked me for the change and left, and I would have had less change for my actual customers. What benefit do I get from doing something for a hot girl that I would not have done for a less attractive person? In this case, precisely none. So I didn't bother.

Now, if I feel like comping someone's drink at my bar, I can. And I often do. Sometimes I do it for pretty girls. Sometimes I do it for other people. But whether or not they are pretty doesn't determine this. If they are nice, fun people, I'll do it. (And if they're pretty, that's a bonus.) If they are jerks, assholes, or douchewaffles, I won't, no matter what they look like. And without fail, someone asking for, demanding, or expecting a discount or a free drink, because they are pretty, because they come from a certain city, because they are fans of a certain team, or just because they think that they're all that and a bag of cow chips, is 100% absolutely guaranteed NOT to get one from me.

                              Jester don't play that.

Rule #1 of free drinks at the bar: The bartender decides who gets free drinks. Period, end of story. Asking for them is not going to help you get them. If anything, it will probably guarantee that you won't. The ONLY exception to this is if it is someone's birthday and their friends ask about a birthday drink.

So no, I don't give a Pretty Girl Discount. I do, however, offer a Giving Me A Blowjob Discount. But not until after that particular check clears, as it were.

Pretty girl discount? Please. Puke. Pathetic.

"The Customer Is Always Right...But The Bartender Decides Who Is
                              Still A Customer."

"I can discount the fact that you asked and charge you full price." And yes, I've actually said that to customers on several occasions.
Brilliant. I would've never thought of that.
