You want geek appeal? Try Hamlet. David Tennant as Hamlet, Patrick Stewart as Claudius...double fangirl rrrowlll!
about that zzapp, that is on DVD now and on Netflix (DVD only )

Yeah more geek girls. The hubby says he married the perfect woman. I love sports, video games, and would rather go to the summer blockbuster explosion fest (super heroes and what not) then go to the romantic comedy. Also hate shopping unless it is for techy stuff

I would love to get in D&D and warhammer (I am working on some models) but there aren't a lot of groups out where we leave.

Yay for being a girl gamer. I love playing video games and my first game was Sonic the Hedge hog as well as Mortal Kombat (Gave my younger siblings nightmares when he watched my older brother play). The first system I ever owned that was my own was a Nintendo 64. And though out my childhood I've known many girl gamers, though I tended to have more males friends in that area then female though it was very satisfying kicking the butts of males who mock me because I was born with a different sex organ then them. Pokemon I'm most famous for this as two males have mocked me (one was an ex boyfriend) and both I kicked butt.

Though I've never gotten into D&D though I am curious about the game, one of my est friends is an avid player and would/could/can kick the ass of anyone who doubts her gaming skills, I swear it's one of the many reasons her BF loves

As I've said on another geek board, it's what keeps your ears apart, not what you keep in your pants.
I've worked with excellent techies who happen to be female, their gender being irrelevant.
Also, I've met guys I wouldn't trust with anything more geeky than a barrel, simply because they were utter philistines.
More power to the geek chicks!

another Geek Girl here. Grew up playing up D&D with the parents and have met over 50 Sci Fi stars including Patrick Stewart, Johnathan Frakes, Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Bonita Friedericy, John Billingsley, Ethan Phillips, Robert Picardo, Garrett Wang, Ian McNeice, Claudia Black, Michael Shanks, Christopher Judge, Zachary Levi and Adam Baldwin ...

I'll stop name dropping now.... (Seriously I love conventions... I've spoken to and met loads of them.)

The fact I have nearly a full bedroom devoted to Sci Fi Cosplay costumes is beside the point!
I am so SO glad I was not present for this. There would have been an unpleasant duct tape incident. - Joi

The nearest I've ever got to any of the Trek cast was sitting a few rows behind some of them at the Princes Gala Trust Preview showing of Insurrection in London.

I did end up standing next to Adam Woodyatt (shudder) at the theatre bar though... really not the same!
                              Arp happens!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

That comment reminded me of this lyric:
"Thou shalt not use poetry, art or music to get into girls pants...
...use it to get into their heads.
" Not quite the same, I know.

I've been a gamer geek since my parents picked up the new atari home game console when I was a wee tyke. They bought it for themselves, too, not us kids.
