      "They said you was hung!"

      "And they was right!"
I love that line, as does my inner pedant.

Technically, it is unlawful to wear military uniforms, in part or in whole, in the United States (where I presume this occurred).

These laws are not enforced, as it is common practice to wear such clothing.

It IS inappropriate for a civilian to wear a military uniform while collecting donations for a military charity.

It is PERFECTLY appropriate for a military member to do so as long as he/her conduct reflects well on the military. The Marines wear their dress blues all the time when collecting for Toys for Tots.

Some people just have no life.
They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.

I'd like to know why the customer thought they were "impersonating" members of the military. How does she know they actually weren't IN the military?

            I'm sick of it too

Not that it's something I would complain about but I am sick and tired of being accosted going into stores by people with their hands out for my money. I know many customers suck but even so when did it become acceptable to allow your customers to be harrassed for money?

This was something that never happened when I was younger, EVER. I'm just wondering what changed that made it OK to do this to shoppers.

I would put anyone who would accost you or actually harrass you for the money into my sucky category...but if they're just standing there or even if they politely ask for donations and back off if you say no or ignore them, I don't see the harm. Just IMO.

I don't really see what anyone has a right to compain about the people standing there collecting money. If you wanna donate a little, then go right ahead. If you don't, then ignore them. Its just fucking stupid to complain when they stand there and are not hurting a soul, gathering money for something worthwhile. There really is nothing to complain about.
On the other hand, if they are following after you and harassing you, trying to guilt you into giving a donation, then yes they should not be allowed to do their thing.
