The company is just REALLY loves its red tape when it comes to crap like this. It thinks nothing of inconveniencing employees, but heaven forbid it make its customers cross! Event though the signs say you'll be towed, they don't have a company name or number, so they're not 'really' valid, more of a cheap scare tactic. Again, we're not allowed to tow until a certified letter's been sent after over a week; unless it's an accident/breakdown and the owner needs the vehicle taken to a mechanic/home/etc. Then it's on the owner. The company is just stupid, stupid, stupid. We even had a tow company GIVE us signs and offer to patrol the lot, but the company has hemmed and hawed because the signs would make the mall seem 'unwelcoming' and they don't want to deal with people bitching that their car was towed. Umm, they wouldn't be dealing with it, I'D have to, since they go after the people in uniform first! Like some species of soul-sucking piranha....

Perhaps, then, carry around the numbers for the relevant people in the chain of command so the inconvenienced customers can complain to the company about it. After all, as customers, the company might actually listen to them and get the idiot parker towed faster.

That was done purposely to make some kind of point; it was too much work to be out of convenience. I agree with protege and everyone who said, "tow it."
It is possible to park like that. If I wanted to I could do it, but it would take multiple, I'm guessing at least 6 forward/reverse and turning attempts to get in and out.

Oh, Sparky, sadly it IS accurate.

I would have towed the car in a heartbeat, but the mall has policies it won't even follow because it doesn't want to 'upset' anyone.
Let's see - tow immediately and ONE jackass gets upset. Repeatedly page and wait for jackass to take his sweet time, and TWO people who parked legitimately get upset. Your mall would prefer to upset TWO innocent customers than ONE jackass?

I have to agree with Gizmo, here -- How is a tow truck gonna get that car out of the way if the cars he's blocked are still there? >_< A powerful enough forklift could move it to somewhere that the Wrecker could reach safely.

            Color me humbled.

I was whining about the idiot at the gym who parked in between two spaces so his fancy little red penis extender would get some attention.
