That's...amazingly weird. If she was close enough to wherever she ended up that she could walk there from her car, rather than drive, then she was close enough to walk back to the car and feed the meter. Unbelievable.

Quoth thatcrazyredhead View PostI'm confused. I don't see why feeding a stranger's meter would be a problem. I also don't see why someone would feed a stranger's meter unless they happened to be passing, saw that it was running out, and fed it out of the goodness of their hearts.

Quoth Jay 2K Winger View PostI love Friendly's food and ice cream...
Just a few weeks ago I found out that Friendly's had made headway into Florida, but only go as far south as Boca Raton, so I haven't quite gotten to check them out down here yet, but I look forward to the time when I do.
Quoth thatcrazyredhead View PostAlso, as far as strange requests of bartenders go...
One night, my friend was expecting an important phone call, but her battery was almost dead. She asked our server if he could find a place to plug it in for her for half an hour or so.
Quoth Andara Bledin View Post...a lot of places have outlawed feeding the meters of strangers.
Quoth Andara Bledin View PostFor one, it somewhat defeats the purpose of the meters to begin with (they generally want people to cycle, which is why there is a time limit on how much you can put in at one time - if you have to go back to your car to feed the meter anyway, you might decide it's time to leave)
Quoth Andara Bledin View Post...there is more to be gotten from violations than from the meters themselves.

Quoth Mr Hero View PostKnowing Jester, this could be an entirely different request.
Quoth Nyoibo View PostOn the gold coast they have metermaids, rather attractive ladies in bikinis whose job it is is to go around filling up parking meters of cars, the local businesses pay for it.
