    More e-mail fun today!

"I ordered my package on the 21st with 3rd day shipment. I just got an e-mail stating that my package will be arriving on the 26th. Tell me why it's being delayed, and how you're going to credit my credit card for the 3rd day shipment charge."

Oh boy, an EW! Sadly, I did not get to respond to this one, and between this one and another one, my supervisor actually got a little charged up tonight!

Hilariously, his order didn't ship 3rd day, but second day. He waited until after 3 pm central to order, which delays shipment to the next business day. And our shipping options do not allow for weekend delivery (except for UPS Air Saver with Sat delivery if you enjoy paying $35 on top of standard shipping costs!) Not that this matters to SC, of course.

So, the SC is ok at math but sucks at calendars.

I lost count long ago of the number of people who don't understand the words 'business days'. The store I worked at and many of it's partners were closed on Saturday and Sunday. If you ordered on Friday then three business days for shipping meant you WILL get it on Wednesday morning for sure. If you ordered on Friday morning and there were no problems you may be able to pick it up on Tuesday evening.

But if you ordered after 3:00 PM on Friday - you have to wait till Wednesday for sure.

And there is no way to translate that to say that you can pick it up on Monday morning!!!!!

I had a similar situation on Ebay this week.

Customer ordered *whatever* on the 22nd and paid on the 22nd. On the 24th I received a "Where is my order" complaint. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but the 22nd was Thursday, the 23rd was Friday and the 24th was Saturday.

How the HELL am I supposed to get it them by the 24th which, by the way is NOT a "business day" ????????????????

            Owl post?

I've done my share of mail order, and I totally feel your pain. God help us on a holiday weekend!

The place I work for had some guy who had questions on a Saturday, then got uppity when they weren't answered on Sunday, then worse on Monday (Labor Day), and then, after he was answered first thing on Tuesday morning, he went off on how he had a business and eBay was every day, and how dare we not answer questions every day of the week.

We blocked his ass, post haste.

I really hate it when people expedite their orders. Of course I can understand it, and I do it myself occasionally, but I know better than to believe there is any GUARANTEE that I will get my stuff as fast as I hope to. Things happen, some places ship more slowly than others, whatever...most of the time, had I gotten my act together earlier, I wouldn't have had to expedite - in fact I would have gotten Item X in plenty of time to get it ready for whatever its purpose was in the first place. Sigh. "I placed my order at 11:59 PM Pacific Time last night and paid for overnight shipping and it's not here!!!!1!1!1eleventy!!1" Cry me a river.
"I was only LOOKING, I didn't mean to enter my card's CVV and actually ORDER! REFUND ME RIGHT NOW!!"

I've had to block more than a few eBay customers for the same reason; simply being an insufferable ass. I am not making enough money to put up with that amount of utter bull.
