Bad enough she didn't see the signs, but she apparently had a hearing problem as well. And even if the color of the liquid didn't clue her in, you'd think the smell would have. Fail all around.
Or -- did she actually drink some it it?? -- the taste!! Unless you had some truly bottom-level coffee there!
There are overreactions and then there are times when something just needs to be said.
I wholeheartedly agree. Anyone who is too fucking stupid to read a sign that states that the machine is filled with a foul-tasting substance at best (and at worst a caustic poison) is too stupid to be allowed to be in a position where they are in charge of anything more dangerous than a room full of air.
And I would hot have stated "Go back, grab some of that cleaning solution and drink it till you die."
Since the bitch was a professor and (allegedly) educated I'd have said something about her going back and drinking more of the cleaning fluid until she Darwined herself out of the gene pool.
But that's just me.
I never lost my faith in humanity. Can't lose what you never had right?
Why is it that so many smart people are so dumb?
Ive rarely met a professor of anything that wasnt a moron outside of a classroom.
A tip I wished I'd learned earlier:
The best professors have worked in their field outside of academia.
The Rich keep getting richer because they keep doing what it was that made them rich. Ditto the Poor.
"Hy kan tell dey is schmot qvestions, dey is makink my head hurt."
Hoc spatio locantur.
The best professors have worked in their field outside of academia.
Yup.
Over-reaction... yeah, definitely, but sometimes it does need to be said, and damn she was annoying... and flipping out at someone in authority (ie professor)? Aw yeah.
I'm not sure I'd have the guts to flip out like that.
"Is it the lie that keeps you sane? Is this the lie that keeps you sane? What is it?Can it be?Ought it to exist?"
"...and may it be that I cleave to the ugly truth, rather than the beautiful lie..."
