After nearly an hour on the phone, some stuff has happened. Meh stuff.

Well, that was after the drunken lady on the phone. I kid you not, I got transferred to a woman who would NOT stop giggling and going "awwww". Someone in the background said "transfer her and GET OUT" and then pompfh, back on hold. Weirdest thing EVER. Another 20 minutes on hold, and then I got a really nice sounding lady.

They're filing a SECOND investigation against this lady, as it "appears" she is abusing A-Z Guarantee claims for free stuff. Appears? I'd say this is darn strong evidence.

Anyways, since I refused to refund her after the claim, Amazon has decided to pay for it themselves. They'd already informed her she won the dispute, so they said that they have to give her some money back one way or the other. So, I keep my money, she keeps my DVD, and gets money back too. What a scumbag.

The other problem is that due to the filing, my funds from the sale are being held for the next 30 days. Can't touch them until then, thanks to witch.

But hopefully, this second investigation gets her in serious hot water. I asked about if she was really suspended, and she said she couldn't comment on it. Makes me wonder if I got lied to earlier.

Ugh, I had no idea until today that Amazon gives their sellers no protection whatsoever. Ebay may have gotten really bad, but at least there's some sort of a flimsy protection. Amazon won't even let me block her from buying from me ever again.

I see your frustration and I'd be pissed too. What exactly happened now that you said that she won? Is her account no longer suspended or does that mean that she's still suspended but had some shipping or item fees refunded to her? Does your account get dinged or something? Do you get to post a rebuttal to her feedback if it posted? I haven't sold anything on Amazon so I'm new to this.

The only good thing is that either she's so set off by the transaction that she won't bother buying anything from you again, or that if she does want to buy something that maybe you reserve the right to refuse the sale to her directly. At least you still have the instance of the woman buying that item from you that she knew was more expensive than other people selling the same item.

I have no idea about her account. Its very possible that I got lied to, but I have no way of finding out. She was refunded by Amazon for the total purchase. Item cost, shipping, and all. <eyetwitch>

As for my account, its not dinged by Amazon, but there's a possibility she might try and still do that. Amazon is different from Ebay in that I do get to post a reply to feedback (90% of the time its me thanking the buyer or commenting on the movie they bought). There is a chance as well that if I can prove that the feedback was done to directly be malicious, that they might remove it as well. But, that's a slim chance, and most likely wouldn't happen. I'm just hoping she's learned well enough to back the fudge off.

And yes, I can't block her, but I can just cancel her orders if I see her name come up again.

I've had to go the route of replying to negative feedback. Keep it short and to the point. It's really hard to argue with the "THIS SELLER SUXORS CUZ I NEVER GOT MAH STUFFS EVAR!!! AND THEY'RE EVIL MEAN STINKYHEADS!!" without facts.

Conversely, it just looks better to see a scathing review like the above with the following reply. "Buyer ordered on 11/01/11, Item shipped with USPS tracking confirmation 11/02/11. Tracking shows item as delivered 11/05/11, signed for by individual with same last name as buyer. Attempts to contact buyer were met with no response (or Attempts to contact buyer yielded no result, as buyer wished for what I could not grant)" etc, etc, etc.

I tend to check feedback, and if I saw a response like that, I'd be the first to assume the buyer was being an SC or EW. Maybe that's just me.

Oh yeah, I always check feedback, after some of the incidents I've had with EWs. Especially after "RAWR YOU OWE ME 2 CENTS FOR SHIPPING!!!!" guy.

And, btw? Thank you SO much for the advice, Lupo. Kept robotically repeating their policy at them, and I'm pretty sure it was a big factor in helping them decide to help me out.

Can you safely refuse the sale if you see her username/address come up on another of your sales? It makes no sense that this...person...has been able to succeed on any level. What she's doing stinks of outright fraud to me. Encourage Amazon/A to Z to share their data on her. Maybe it'll do some good in the future.

I was actually considering going thru Amazon to get rid of a fair number of books I no longer need -- I was always under the impression that they had at least some real seller protections. Ugh. Perhaps I should reconsider.

Yeah, yeah, I'm a Brony ~_~ The winged ones fly (and may have powers too), the unicorns (as above) use magic -- always TK, usually with other powers added, and the normal-looking ones get other abilities (limited clairvoyance (with maybe juuust a touch of stark raving madness), unusually high strength, etc). Note that lacking digits at all doesn't really seem to hinder the little buggers in any way when it comes to manual dexterity ^_^

On the account - if its anything like World of Warcraft, the representative is not allowed to discuss an account's status with anyone but the account's owner. Thus, while she probably should be/was banned, you can't be informed.

As angry as I am over this, I still have to note that she is the ONLY customer I've had pull this on me out of 40 or so.

*ahem* er I mean, Welcome aboard ^_^

The number of male fans may surprise you. It helps that you're over the "the first few eps after the pilot aren't quite as good" herd-... er, I mean, hurdle. The last set has my fave episode so far...When a certain character's effective insanity is shown as overt fact, rather than as a heavy-handed suggestion. Not what I expected at all. 'Twas brilliant. Having the resident wallflower grow a spine impressed me, too.

Wow, that bitch sure knows how to work a system. I'm sure she's had plenty of practice scamming goods out of people and getting her money back too.

Sadly, eBay's not much better if you're a seller. You are at the absolute mercy of the buyer and there's not even an option for a seller to leave buyers bad feedback. It's either got to be positive or none is left at all - I've had a few transactions in the past where the buyers were assholes and I just never left them any feedback because I couldn't ding them for their shitty behavior.

And yay for other Pony fans! I think I'm slowly turning my BF into a Brony since now he's watching My Little Pony on his own. Bronyism is too mainstream for me - I liked My Little Pony back when they first came out in the 80s, dammit.

Likewise. It helps that Faust, the creator of the modern series, also did extensive work on the wonderfully subversive Powerpuff Girls.
