So when a customer talks to me about their account I cannot discuss any other accounts even if they were for the same address.
Today I had a customer call in upset because she was having an issue with her landlord.
In her words, "It's because I am black"
She feels that before her landlords always paid the gas as part of the rent for the previous tenants.
Since I can see all the previous accounts and can see that the accounts were not under the landlord's name I know this was not the case and that she is wrong about it being common practice that they just aren't doing for her because "I am black"
Unfortunately I can't tell her this because I can't discuss other people's accounts. Then she is telling me that she had made a payment to her landlord for gas service during a time that they ended up covering for her and she wanted to know why it hadn't posted to her account yet.
Come to find out from her that they submitted the payment on their own account so I adv her that then they are probably not aware that would have posted to their account and not hers and that she should communicate that to them.
Again in her words, "Oh no they know that's what happened"
Really because you had no clue so how were they supposed to know?
Then it turns out she is wrong about everything. She hasn't actually paid them yet. They have been telling her she needs to pay them for the payment they made.
What she never bothered telling them is that she backdated her service when she finally started it to go back to the day she first moved in.
I found that out when she asked me to call them and talk to them. When I did they got to find out there was a credit on their account that we are sending back to them for the amount they thought she needed to pay them.
This because her communication with everyone is as follows, "Fix this why isn't it fixed, it's cuz I am black I know"
Uhm no lady it's because your yelling about everyone else discriminating against you instead of communicating with anyone.
