Seriously!!
I email a user, tell him that I'll need to reload Windows on his PC and to let me know when he is in the store and the laptop is directly connected to the network (meaning plugged into an RJ-45 that is directly connected to our network - not remote, not though an aircard).
He responds, it's connected.
I can't remote into it - I do a tracert into the computer and it leads me somewhere else, not my company.
He confirms that it is directly on the network.
I still can't get in so I tell him that the IP address the network is seeing is not directly on the network, it is leading to AT&T DSL service.
Oh, I'm home now.
Yeah, do you try that one with your bosses, too? No wonder this is a trouble store.
