I've had major disconnects with people, some who are my friends some who are assuredly not ('specially now), and I hate confrontations and bad moods and bad blood-- so I offered hugs, 'cuz I got that vibe from ya.
EDIT: the only chat systems I've ever used were in-game ones and gmail.

I've used mschat, mirc and gmail.
And i think these people just can't get thing through thier skulls. They know I had an abusive childhood, but they continue to make jokes about "oh I'm gonna torture you" and once in the game, they said "oh well all of the female characters are going to be taken prisoner by the bad guy and raped." The other female characters were all played buy guys and they thought this was cool. I was the only one who said that I'd rather not participate. Guess whose chacter was the only one captured and raped?
Yeah, not cool.

That is a bit disturbed. As a GM, I can say that I've never got into the debths of such, though I've had NPC's that have had pasts that included it...definitely not cool though.Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. Jeti's not able to load anymore, which is really odd...
I even took the whole rape thing up to the man who owns/runs the game. He did a big song and dance about being on my side then sided with the GM over it. And this is a man I've known for 10 years and met in person several times.Comment
