Alas, all the theaters in my area sold out of their tickets, so I'll be resorting to laying claim to the TV at the house on that fateful day so I can watch it.

Failing that, hoping like hell it'll be up on day-after streaming services like Hulu or (sigh) Xbox Video. (Which, prior to Hulu's deal with the BBC, was how I watched Dr. Who, paying per season/special in lieu of a monthly fee to the service as a whole.)

My local cinema added another screening the following day, so it might be worth keeping an eye out in case they do it for you, too. Then you could still go.

They just released a short prequel to Day of the Doctor called "The Night of the Doctor" which explains what brought him into existence as the John Hurt version.

        Enjoy.

if it was in 2D I'd go see it in theatres but my experiences with 3d have left me not seeing half the movie and a headache I'd rather snuggle up in my fleece blanket and watch it in my room.

I'm looking forward to 'An Adventure in Time and Space' more than the actual anniversary show.

I'd check with your local theater, a bunch of places out here added 2D showings. Could be worth it

Well done, and i'm glad he agreed to do it. Such much fun even if it is a rather dark chapter.

There was an old quote from him in some magazine or another where, years ago, he said he would love to reprise his role as the Eighth Doctor, but only if he didn't have to wear a wig. Nice to see they kept with the original actor though, instead of trying to fake it with someone who looked similar.

No reason he should have to; Time Lords get haircuts, too!

And I'd almost forgotten how utterly delightful Paul McGann is...

Ok, when it comes to others I am freer with money then when it comes to myself. When its just me, I make Pre Ghost visit Scrooge look like Scrooge Post Ghost visit. I will admit it. I don't like spending money on me. Especially if I can get something for free/low cost. So for me it will be DVR'd and I will watch it for free. Now, if I had somebody here to take, that'd be a different story.
