Oh Kanalah, that's horrible! I'm so sorry he's such a thoughtless waste of space - you deserve so much! And you certainly deserve better than him.
    Seconded!

Have you given any more thought to seeking out a shelter? He's made it even clearer that he doesn't give a shit and nothing is going to change with him.
That is a disgusting attitude for anyone to have, especially towards his own wife. You deserve better than that. For your own sake, please get some help.

I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

        The big stuff:

        Two Nooks (from different people)
An Amazon gift card (yes, the irony that I have Amazon credit and a Barnes and Noble product does not escape me - but I shop both)
There was a post on the B&N employee group page on facebook about getting Amazon gift cards for Christmas. Of course, Amazon sells a few things other than books...

Books, books, glorious books (including the massive Witchblade compendium- and I mean MASSIVE!).

My mother always says, "I want to get you something besides books!" and I always reply, "But I don't WANT anything else!"

Scarf, gloves, Star Fox 64 3D, Hershey's kisses with caramel, a cute winter hat, and some pens.

Really quite happy with what I got.

Yes indeed, but the grandparents did manage to tone it down from last year. By the time he is 6 they shoud be acting withing reason!

Santa brought him an easel (he wants to be an artist when he grows up), but his favorite gift turned out to be a board game called Robot Turtles that the husband Kickstarted. It's actually really interesting and purports to teach small children the very basics of programming (!). We visited a friend who'd bought the same game for his daughter (they hadn't opened it yet) and Khan taught her to play.

I participated in a Secret Santa gift exchange at another forum I'm part of and got some lovely bath bombs and bath salts, along with some shower gel, fuzzy socks, some ornaments, a magnet and a tin with a monkey on it and banana shaped and flavored mints.

My mother in law also gave me some lotion.

My husband and I didn't exchange gifts, we used our money on the kids' Christmas presents instead. We're going to buy what we want in March when I get my vacation check. (I rarely use my vacation time, so it's basically a bonus check).

I got a book I'd been wanting for some time - 'In The Key Of Genius' (about Derek Paravicini) from Mytical *grins happily*
Also a DVD of the Edwardian Farm series (I love these kind of living history things) and a boxed set (3 CDs, 1 DVD) of Be Bop Deluxe (yay!)
Engaged to the sweet Mytical He is my Black Dragon (and yes, a good one) strong, protective, the guardian. I am his Silver Dragon, always by his side, shining for him, cherishing him.

Sounds a little bit like Bee Bots. The kids input commands into the robotic bug which then moves accordingly. http://www.terrapinlogo.com/bee-botmain.php

The kids at my last prac school demonstrated this as part of a "maths games day". The little ones were more interested in making it just move around the room though!

Robot Turtles is more low-tech though. The turtles are printed on cards and the kids tell the adult where to move it (the adult builds the mazes and moves the turtle; the kid hands the adult a movement card (straight, left, right) to tell them where to move the turtle. The adult is not supposed to correct the movements the kid chooses; they have to learn by making mistakes. The game is really neat as it gets harder as the kid progresses through the levels. And has the added bonus of getting to tell adults what to do!

I got a bunch of really nice things, but the biggest, and the BEST thing, is a tower for my cat. My dad put it together yesterday, and she LOVES it. She's been climbing all over it, playing with the dangly toy, and sitting on the top watching stuff. Since she usually makes me crazy jumping on the mantel, this is an amazing thing.

I've been wanting to get her one for awhile, but the tall ones are so expensive. And this is the nicest one I've ever seen! it's covered with this furry fleecy stuff instead the the regular carpet, and the tallest platform is 5'5"

It's been the best Kitty Christmas EVER.
My webcomic is called Sidekick Girl. Val's job is kinda like retail, except instead of corporate's dumb policies, it's the Hero Agency, and the SC's are trying to take over the world.
