I know there are other women on here who will relate to this: I don't like frilly things. A tiny bit of lace is okay, but ruffles, bows, etc. = yuck.
I hate that women seem to either have to hate pink or absolutely love it and all of the bows, frills, and skirts that go with it. I don't mind pink as long as it's not overwhelming, I don't really enjoy dresses, the only lace I like is underwear, I think makeup is mostly a waste of time, and I don't really like bows or frills either. I prefer to sit around in an old Element hoodie (anyone remember that company?) and sweatpants, or no pants if it's just one of those days. That doesn't mean I don't like painting my nails, the occasional facial/bubble bath/pampering, or dressing up once in a while. I actually do own makeup but I only wear it on class nights (dressing up is part of our work ethics grade) or special occasions, and I'm of the opinion that makeup is to enhance, not change.

That's another thing. The closest my makeup knowledge can get to contouring is a trick I learned involving white eyeshadow to hide dark circles under my eyes. It doesn't change the shape of my face at all, I still look like me, just less tired.

I'm not one of the 'pink and frilly' kind either. I would describe myself as feminine, but not 'girlie'.

Sport in general leaves me cold anyway, but every time the Olympics rolls around I groan because there's no escaping the constant reporting on it. In 2012 it was particularly saturating because of it being held in London. Not. Interested. At. All. And Wimbledon fortnight leaves me stone cold.
Soaps. Don't watch them, never have. The only time I ever saw anything of them was when I was married and if we went round to his parents' house while Coronation Street or whatever was on. I tried to schedule our visits so they didn't coincide, but couldn't always work that.
Elvis. Never understood the adoration, though I like a couple of individual songs.
Summer. Hate the heat, not being able to sleep because of the warm and light nights, and the little bitey insects that seem to find me so delicious.

I too love assembling furniture and putting things together. Started out by always having to take over when the ex lost what little patience he had (usually because he wouldn't read the instructions). Now I just like doing it, it's like a 3D jigsaw puzzle.
The dark. No I'm not afraid of it - as I tell my son, the most scary thing in it is me
Winter. As the temperature starts to drop through autumn and the nights get darker, I can breathe again, I can think again, and best of all the horrible bitey stinging insects all go back to hell where they belong.

        I can't stand:
Soaps-hell I have enough worries without coming home and watching other people's arguments, breakdowns, family crises.Exception for the Archers, where a traumatic event is someone's cake not making the village show in time.
        Baked beans-Plastic pods in sauce.Ewwwk
Twitter-Half of it is mindless celebrities wittering, the other half being told to follow someone who I have no idea who they are.
Which also applies to reality shows, especially 'celebrity' ones.If I need to be told who you are and why you are famous, you are not a celebrity.Being famous for appearing on a reality show does not count.

I don't mind the cold.Seriously.I may look freezing without a coat, but I like the fresh air.Heat on the other hand is another matter.*keels over in the summer*

        And ELO rock.Love the music!!

Here in Australia, coffee cake really does mean cake made with coffee. You replace some of the liquid in the cake batter with coffee. And it's often iced with icing made with coffee as well. So yes, the cake tastes of coffee.

Sometimes chocolate cake is spoiled with coffee. Or orange. Or mint. As you can tell from that, I like my chocolate plain!

I detest coffee. And tea. I don't like hazelnuts.
Or anything oversweet. I've tried pumpkin pie - yuck. Tried key lime pie as well. Also oversweet. And when I tried adding a little of the whipped cream to tone down the sweetness a little, I had to spit out the awful mix of fake-cream-that's-just-sugar-stuff and oversweet pie.
Sorry, Americans, but your chain restaurants make their desserts waaaay too sweet for me.

I'm another in our team of 'MAKEY!' people. We used to buy Kinder Surprise eggs: Toth got the chocolate, ElderlyCat (who wasn't elderly then) got the plastic case the toy comes in (she loved to push them around, 'cause they weren't as predictable as a round ball), and I got the toy. It was a wonderful day when it was a MAKEY toy!

These days my makeys have to be smaller than furniture; I'm just not tough enough anymore. But anything makey is fun! I can always knit or crochet my makeys, right?

This is me. I'm not exactly a girly girl, I'll wear some make-up and do my hair up a little, but I'm not going to spend two hours getting ready to go grocery shopping. I also don't really care for the color pink that much, I'll wear it on occasion and have some pink shirts, but it's not a color I really like. Purple, yes.

Although I do have a soft spot for Bath and Body Works.

And, yes, I am one of those women who will get ugly if a guy starts to help me with something and doesn't ask if I need help first.
Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

Undertale. I don't care how groundbreaking the characters are, or how innovative the storyline is, I just can't play that kind of stupid bullet-hell game. It's ableist as fuck, regardless of how all-inclusive the nonbinary lead character may be.

That's another one! I like coffee but I'm not fond of tiramisu. It just seems like... glop. The consistency is off for me.

Yeah, re: makeup, I only wear the bare minimum and only for work or going out someplace nice. No eye makeup because my eyes are so sensitive they itch all the time - I'd rub off the makeup 10 seconds after it went on.

I will wear nail color because I'm a nail polish junkie. Even that's not all the time.

The Olympics: I'll watch some of it if I'm bored, or if it's hot men in spandex I watch the opening & closing ceremonies to see the cultural/artsy stuff. That's about it. I'm not competitive or athletic so I don't really care who wins what.

Foods I don't like that others do: I don't like coffee, coconut*, raw onions (cooked onions are fine), licorice, radishes of any kind. I must be the only person in the world who doesn't like red velvet cake.

Foods I like that others don't: Liver. Giblets. Lima beans (pretty much any beans, actually). Mushrooms. Brussels sprouts if they're cooked right. Turnips are okay.

*Really fresh coconut is okay, as in right out of the shell. And coconut milk mixed into other things like curry sauce is quite nice. But dried coconut, yuck!

Chocolate and I are no longer best friends. Turns out that if I eat much more than a regular Snickers bar a month; I spend a few days passing a pile of small kidney stones.

Not that much fun to be honest.

                            I don't drink coffee, I drink coffee-flavored sugar water.
A good friend of mine has said that the main difference between the coffee she drinks and coffee ice cream is the temperature. And I figure if you get an iced coffee like that....

Here's another confession: I actually prefer IE as my primary browser. I only have Chrome on my computer as a backup for when I need to be logged into two accounts on the same website at the same time (really only relevant for one game site I'm on), and to quarantine certain websites where I need to block the ads (since IE doesn't have a reliable adblock).

Hear hear. I'm very much a tomboy-type, but I still like occasional girly things, which frequently throws my Hubby for a bit of a loop before he remembers that detail. Pedicures are one of my favorite "girly" things.

As a guy I really do not get all that much into sports. I WILL however listen to my birth home town's clear channel AM radio station (at night when I can get a clear signal in the car) when the baseball team is playing and especially if they make the playoffs/World Series.

Other than that I could really care less about American Football (Super bowl SHUUMPER bowl), soccer (football to the rest of the world) World Cup Meh, hockey, basketball, rugby, cricket, skiing of any sorts, Ice skating, etc.

As for the discussion above about women and makeup, I despise those who try and emulate the Tammy Faye Baker look. It looks sooooo fake made up. I have seen several women with and without. The without was just YUUUK without the 3 inch spike heals, mini-skirt, the caked on makeup, the bright splashy colors, the push-up bra and the bouncey butt lift underwear lifted walk all I can say is Plain Jane.
I'm lost without a paddle and headed up SH*T creek.
