I need support
I've been holding off on this because I was hoping for some good news first, but at this point it's rock bottom.
My mom is in hospital in ICU.
On Friday when my dad and I tried to help her up after waking her up and she wasn't cognitive as well as having no muscle control. We opted for an ambulance pickup and took her to the hospital emergency for observation. While there we found out that she had a urinary tract infection. Well during the treatment her kidneys had a near complete shutdown due to toxins from the medications and had a pair of seizures. We found that out yesterday morning. The doctor asked my dad to approve dialysis for the kidney and a spinal tap as a precautionary measure.
Today we heard the results of the spinal tap. Positive for meningitis.
So while before it was a matter of when she'll recover because everything prior could be treated given time, now it's a matter of if she'll come out and if so, what condition she'll be in.
The next up to 72 hours are critical. I'm asking for hopes and prayers because right now that's all I have left.
