On the contrary, which fictional death had you cheering?

I really liked that Eve Dallas's mom died in the in Death series. That particular arc was hard to read, and it's resolution made for an interesting character development. If I thought they could find the right people for the cast, I'd love for them to make that series a TV show.

Oh hell YES. Epic justice, with a touch of humor. And served up by Mollari, of all people.Quoth Ghel View PostMr. Morden on Babylon 5. Actually, it was more Vir's reaction to his death that had me cheering, but Morden had it coming.

That's great. Everyone absolutely fucking hates her except for her kids but they're very quickly realizing what a total shitbag she is, hell Stanis Baratheon is a perfect father compared to her. I'm gonna finish it as soon as I can. I just have a question is it against the rules to do a novel (completed or not) before NaNoWriMo starts, because I was thinking about submitting it or would that be against the rules?

Hmmm..well the death ended up being a fake, but when we thought Michael as a child on General Hospital was killed, I cheered..hated that character as a child. Also, I cheered when Chloe on General Hospital was killed.

Sarkoja, in A Princess of Mars. Granted, she didn't die on-screen(on-page?), but it's very heavily implied, and by the time it happened, I really really really wanted her to be strangled with her own intestines.
In John Carter, she did die on-screen, and I cheered for that, too.
Leon Magnus in "Tales of Destiny". God, I hated that little shit.

I'm working on a story that has this type of character in it, I let one of my friends see what I have so far and he wants to know how she's gonna die. I told him I'm thinking about having her get hit by a car right after she lands on one of her sky diving trips.

An enjoyable event, especially if you knew them from the other books in the Diskworld series.Quoth Tama View PostThe Auditors, in Hogfather. I didn't exactly hate them, but in the book, and ESPECIALLY the movie, that was an awesome...uh...death. And Death.
Another enjoyable death was that of Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg in The Fifth Element.

Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd is the only one I can think off of the top of my head, but I can't count the number of times I'd be playing a video game and think about how I could possibly make a character's death as tortuous as possible.
And I'm going to keep bringing this series up (because I'm playing the games again for the 1000th time) but Reaver from the Fable series is one I would have LOVED to see dead, and my husband and I both played through 3 hoping we'd get a chance to kill him in the end. When that didn't happen, I played The Journey and hoped we'd at least hear news of his death. Nope. It appears he lives on after all.
