On the contrary, which fictional death had you cheering?

Yep, it was awesome to see those two assholes get what was coming...especially after all the crap that they put everyone through. Also satisfying, was to see Officer Tenpenny get his in GTA: San Andreas.

IIRC, Peter Jackson was directing the scene and asked Christopher Lee to try to imagine the sound of someone being stabbed in the back. And Christopher "Actual Nazi Hunter" Lee replied that he didn't need to imagine it.Quoth Lace Neil Singer View PostYeah, I was thinking visually. XD Christopher Lee did a fantastic job in making Saruman as unpleasant and evil as he could be, so that everyone would cheer at his death.

I don't know about being better; visually, maybe, but if you wanted Saruman to suffer, the book's death was better. He wouldn't have died immediately when he was stabbed, so in his last moments he would have known that the Great Saruman (TM) had been taken out by Wormtongue. How humiliating!Quoth Lace Neil Singer View Post2. Saruman from LoTR. He was basically an all round arsehole; when I first read the book, I was angry when Treebeard let him go, cuz I wanted him to die. But eventually, he did. (If you have just seen the movies, he also dies in the extended version by being stabbed, falling off the tower and being impaled on spikes. Even better than in the book!)
Yes, I am a vindictive bitch. Why do you ask?

Maria LaGuerta in Dexter. I just wish someone other than Deb had been the one to kill her.

A few...
1. Judge Doom, from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". From the moment he murdered that poor shoe, I was longing for his death. There's just something hideous about the whole concept of "Dip" as well as the joy he seems to take from using it. So it was entirely fitting that it killed him in the end.

3. Peter Pettigrew from Harry Potter. Yes, I know we're all supposed to root for Voldemort's death, but he was just evil. Pettigrew betrayed his friends and was basically a cowardly, horrible person, so his eventual death was more satisfying, especially the way it happened.
4. Carl Bruner from "Ghost". Even before I knew he was the villain, there was just something creepy about him. When I did find out, then I definitely wanted him dead. Even tho, when I first saw "Ghost" as a child, the black shadows that dragged him away scared me half to death. O_o
5. Jabba The Hutt from "Return Of The Jedi". He killed that Twi'lek dancer for no reason! That monster!

Ramsay Bolton, that mother fucker had it coming. I cheered when Jon beat the shit out of him and when Sansa let his dogs eat him alive, it was a much more satisfying way to kill off an asshole then Jofferey.

Tyrion's first wife Tysha might beg to disagree, though that plot point wasn't covered in the TV version of Tywin's death scene. Also Tywin counted as his allies people who did revel in violence. Like the Mountain, and later the Freys and the Boltons.Quoth Sapphire Silk View PostTywin was a hard ass prick, but he didn't revel in violence for its own sake.
Agree wholeheartedly. He put a stop to the torture of prisoners at Harrenhal not because he had a problem but because he was pragmatic. The prisoners could work. His back and forth with Arya Stark in the TV version (doesn't appear in the novel) was one of the best sub plots of the TV series.
Also Twyin put that little shitstain Joffrey in is place, twice. That's somethingI wasn't sorry to see him get his, but he was an interesting and entertaining character

I wasn't sorry to see him get his, but he was an interesting and entertaining character, so it didn't come quite with the satisfaction of watching Joffrey, Janus Slynt, or Meryn Trant buy it.
I should add, I will be very happy to watch Cersei finally get her comeuppance. I don't think she learned a thing from poking the bear that is the Faith of the Seven.

No mention of Tywin Lannister?
He sponsored the Red Wedding massacre. He heaped a lifetime of insults and humiliation on his son Tyrion, all for the crime of being born a dwarf.
Watched his death scene twice. Drank a glass of rum each time. Felt like shit the next morning, but totally worth it
Other upstanding specimens of humanity from GOT who richly deserve the Seven Hells but still have yet to make the trip include:
- Ramsey Bolton
- Roose Bolton
- Walder Frey
- Littlefinger
QFTQuoth Ghel View PostMr. Morden on Babylon 5. Actually, it was more Vir's reaction to his death that had me cheering, but Morden had it coming.

The thing is, just like District 9 before it, Elysium IS about real life. It's an allegory. To those of us that live in the United States, Elysium is Beverly Hills, CA. To the rest of the world, Elysium is the U.S.A.Quoth Athaelia View PostIn Elysium: That evil Delacourt woman (Jodie Foster's character) and John Carlyle's deaths were justified.
