I'm a die-hard AD&D player, still playing 2nd edition. I've never gone into 3rd edition (or 3.5) but I've just put in my order for the 4th edition combo set from Amazon. I like what little I've seen so far.

Have any of the other D&D'ers here devled into the new edition?
Bah, true die-hards are 1st editions AD&D. And me and my buddies play on friday nights as long as the wives aren't Lucky for me, I'm the only single one. So no wife nagging for me.

The 5 minute conversation I just had with Liara about how fantastically amazing sex with a Asari is suppose to be was kind of weird though....
Well, wait until you get through the sex-scene. I won't spoil it for you

I'm on my second run through. My first run through, I wimp out and played a soldier. I'm not much of a FPS (or TPS) player so I took the easy path. Now that I got a hang of the "action" part of the RPG, I'm trying to do a complete discovery of every planet before getting to the final fight.

Also, got to play the spectre the second time through. Man it's fun to just shoot them instead of hearing the whining

Well, I came to see if there was a gaming thread here, but didn't expect one that is almost a year old...
Yeah, we've been making damn sure it doesn't die.

Woot, found some Incinerary Rounds. Same effect as Chemical, but more....burny.

So gravekeeper, did you go biotic or tech. Or did you wimp out and went straight soldier?
    Wimp out? *huffs* *grin*

Yeah, my main Shepherd is a soldier. She strides in and beats Geth in the face while Liara and Kaiden pretend they're helium balloons and dance them around in the air.

I'm partway through my first run on the Insanity setting. Ah, the smell of burning synthetics in the morning....

(I do have both biotic and tech Shepherds, btw. Personally, I'm not too big on the tech part...biotics and face-pounding ftw!)

I currently have a ton of old games on my hard drive (I actually have one dedicated to them) but rarely play any of them. WoW and Diablo II are about he only games I play lately. Diablo II I play online, hardcore. I love the concept of it and wish MMOs would offer it as an option.

Anyway aside form the few computer games, I'm a die-hard AD&D player, still playing 2nd edition. I've never gone into 3rd edition (or 3.5) but I've just put in my order for the 4th edition combo set from Amazon. I like what little I've seen so far.

That's what I'm playing now. A sniper tech at that, and it's really fun to play. Although the slow fire rate of the sniper gun and every enemy in the room having an uncanny knack of finding you and getting a straight shot at you once you snipe someone at 300 meters, gets annoying after a while.
That's what I'm playing too, Infiltrator. I haven't had much trouble so far with my methodical room sweeping tactics. I use Ashley and Liara as team mates and the combination of a heavy meat shield and a biotic keeps things busy and takes care of anything that charges my cover while I systematically execute my one shot one kill policy. -.-

The few things that do survive one shot usually only do so with a sliver of life. But that's why I use chemical rounds. Tag em then let the poison em off if they live.

If it actually does get in my face then its weapons mysteriously overheat and explode. =p

I think the only fight so far that took me a try or two was coming out of the Prothean ruins after you rescue Liara. The cutscene before the fight leaves you right in the open in front of the bad guys so its a mad scramble to find cover and I was somewhat squishy as I'd focused on my tech skills and Charm initially.

I keep meaning to go back and play Mass Effect again, get the second ending. Can't be bothered at the moment, unless the actually do bring in the voluntary install thing for the 360. From what I've heard, GK, you would have made the right choice even if you have a Xbox.

    Tech.

Soldier, meh. I never play the run and gun types or the hulking claymore wielding tank types. Give me support roles. -.-

Also playing Lego Indiana Jones with my wife - now that is a lotta fun.
I have the PC demo, and it was really good. I'm stopping by to get the PC version after my last exam tonight with my book buyback and $5 reward coupon - after I use the high-speed internet at the college to get the revised Devil May Cry 4 PC demo.

As far as new stuff, I bought Katamari Damacy at half-price a couple of days ago. Very Japanese, but a lot of fun for the limited time I played it.

After tonight, there will be a lot of gaming going on. As far as now, back to studying!

Mass Effect is sucking away my life at the moment too on a side note.

I don't have and will never have the inclination to purchase an X-Box so I had to wait for the PC version. -.-

Ah, gaming thread, eh? Good, something I can contribute to a bit more than the suck boards, as I don't deal with customers as often as I used to.

Currently playing GTA IV multiplayer, quite a bit. Not any of the game modes, though a bunch of us tried those out, just free mode. There's nothing quite as fun as just doing... whatever with a bunch of buddies. One minute you're running from the cops in a bus (and cursing the fact that you didn't pick up a better gun before getting on said bus), the next you're playing chicken with bikes.

Also playing Lego Indiana Jones with my wife - now that is a lotta fun. Especially as we just watched Raiders and Last Crusade. It's so much fun to watch great films treated with equal part reverence and parody. Apparently, so says the wife, we have to watch Temple before playing that section of the game.

Also occasionally playing AoC at the moment, but playing alone isn't much fun in MMOs, and I don't really have the time to dedicate to it to play with other folks.

Forgot to add, really looking forward to 4th Edition D&D, and our books are shipping tomorrow from Amazon In fact, I'd recommend listening to the Penny Arcade podcast on the subject (of them actually playing the game with Scott Kurtz of PvP), which is up... somewhere on the site. Internet's decided to fight me.

I'm waiting on Warhammer because of Mythic's legacy with DaoC. For all the fark ups the made with DaoC it had and still does have one of the best pvp models.

But Warhammer isn't till the fall last I heard. So AoC will amuse me till then.
