but his previous DM had his character raped by orcs... sooooo, he didn't play for long. Understandable, really.
    Raped by orcs. how cliché.

Although, one of my character (well I should say party, since the whole group was involved) actually managed to screw up badly enough to get raped by an horny deity. Damn that was interesting. But at least my character got out of it alive.

I wish that DM would get over his funk and get back to playing D&D. Ever since he got married...... oh well.

Ok, I gotta ask. . . What online prog? Are they making another MMO or the "Insider?" The Insider looks pretty cool; I really like being able to customize and print out your character from it, but I'll withhold my opinion on the online bit until I see it in action.
The insider. As lordlundar said, it's basically an enhanced private chat. If you get the pay for version, you customize your character, play with other groups with a visual representation of the maps and your characters. I'd imagine it'll just be like a computer version of having a tabletop map, so perhaps MMO isn't quite the right word.

But it's going to help folks who don't have anyone around interested in playing to pick up groups, and it'll help me and the wife play with a couple of friends who live in different states hook up with a few sessions here and there.

One's never played D&D before, but even without reading the books has decided he wants to be a Dragonborn, cause he wants to look like a dragon. The other has played, but his previous DM had his character raped by orcs... sooooo, he didn't play for long. Understandable, really. This way, they'll both be able to play a game with my wife as DM, and she's really rather good at that whole thing.

I'm leaning towards Ranger with this iteration, maybe going Eladrin, but the race isn't decided yet. All I know is I'm not playing a Human again. (I am going to miss the Goliath I'm currently playing as, though )

For shame, for shame. I'm still waiting for it to be release for the PC version. Bioware said they were going to release it at the same time as the PC version sale date. Naturally, it didn't happen. I want the extra stuff
Course as soon as I got home last night, I downloaded it and immersed myself in Mass Effect goodness I COULDN'T quote from. Ahhh...satisfaction achieved

Ok, somehow I COMPLETELY MISSED that there's a new downloadable 90 minute mission for Mass Effect now available.

Well, Bioware IS working on an MMO. But they haven't revealed what yet.
I believe it's might be Dragon Age. Looks interesting. However, they been working on it for a while. So who really knows if they're going with that or not. I hope it's just a NWN style multi-players. There's way too many fantasy based world MMOs. They really need to do something completely different.

You know what I'd really really really love to see? A Mass Effect MMO.
Would be nice if bioware puts out a Pen & Paper rules. I would love to play a tabletop in mass effect world.

Hopefully it won't suck. The market desperately lusts for a GOOD sci-fi mmo.
Amen to that. I signed up for beta too.

You know what I'd really really really love to see? A Mass Effect MMO. If it were even half as good as the RPG I'd marry it and have its babies. Srsly.

Sorry, I'm not going back and reading 45 pages to see if this has been discussed.

Anyone here going to play StarGate Worlds?
I'd completely forgotten about it. <applies for beta>

I just had the Biggest video game related laugh ever, anyone ever hear of a game called Limbo of the Lost? Yeah, don't get it, I am not kidding when I say it's pretty much ripped stuff directly out of half a dozen games or more, and what's more, they did it absoloutley blatantly, it couldn't be made anymore blatant unless they put in big sized font, on the front of the box

"Oh, by the way, we stole from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Unreal Tournament 2004, Unreal Tournament 2003, Diablo II, Thief: Deadly Shadows, Crysis, Silent Hill 4: The Room, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Painkiller, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and World of Warcraft."
